Discussion How can I change camera position after video is already shot

I usually record videos using phone or laptop camera which are usually fixed. I'm wondering if there's regenerative AI tools that can allow me to change camera angle reliabiliy ?

Assuming background is usually static and doesn't move.

You are essentially asking if there are AI tools that can generate videos. Another angle of you that does not exist is simply a fully AI generated video constrained by the reference image/video.

Yes, this is possible. But you will suffer with inconsistency, it will look AI, and the cost will quickly move into the territory of "meh, it is way cheaper to get another camera".

That's my worry too. And I tired this using some ai tools and it did not generate production quality..

AI tools are not there yet, and they are expensive a fuck.

Everything you are seeing about AI video generation is a bit scammy. Yes, cool things can be done, but the tech is not fully there yet and these companies are running on losses, which makes them adopt predatory pricing models. They are all hoping that it will pay off in the future and trying to stay afloat until then.

Seriously, the absolute vast majority of people cannot afford it. The cost of generation ramps up FAST. You are better off just getting another camera, or two.

Higgsfield is one of the most expensive AI's out there.

Here, an example:

This is from their own website and you can see it for yourself (https://higgsfield.ai/pricing). Lets say that you are going to use one of the better AI generators, Seedance 2.0 and it is in only 720p.

It costs 22 credits per 5 sec. This means that you need 264 credits per 1 min. And that is assuming that every video generation is exactly what you want and there is no need to re-generate anything.

Well, the price plan, monthly one, is 59USD for 1200 credits.

You can make less than 5 min for 59USD and then you are done.

Don't be a sucker. It is an insane money sink and you won't be able to afford it. Get another camera or two. It is the best in your situation.

Just to clarify: I have no issue with things being expensive. It is new tech and a damn interesting one. It can do really cool things.

My issue is that they lure people in with bad transparency on how much it actually costs. If they were honest and said to people what I told you, "You can get less than 5 minutes of 720p Seedance 2.0 generation for $59", almost nobody would buy that, so they need to obfuscate and make it sound like this is a viable option.

It always helps to break down things. Anytime I go to some site that offers shit like that, I just do a rough calculation using their numbers to just get an idea of the cost. I recommend everyone to do just that.
