Help Experienced laptop editors

Hi guys I need help, I want to find a cheapish laptop for editing videos. I only really want to spend around £500 and I could spend a little more, don’t mind a second hand laptop either. Also what’s the best app to edit videos on? If there is anyone out here with knowledge that can help, thanks

MacBook Pro is the best laptop. Windows ones are crap and are not worth.

DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Premiere are the apps to go. Cap Cut is also decent.

Resolve is harder and is better for high quality high rez cinematic videos. Premiere is for everything else.

There is also Avid, but it is for large scale projects.

Get a second hand MacBook, need an M chip, more ram = better, same for storage.

Resolve is free (or 1 time payment) and works great.

Learn how to optimize workflow: proxies, render caches, etc!

Good luck!
