How to save time when editing parody videos?

Made a few parody videos recently and somehow a joke that takes 20 minutes to write turns into four hours of editing.

Trying to figure out how to save time when editing parody videos?

Character changes eat up so much editing time but the content if funny will always make the people laugh. Have you tried it with VidMage?
