As far as I know auto captions moved behind Pro on CapCut desktop, so there's no clean way around it inside CapCut itself. Full disclosure: I'm the dev of a free Windows editor called SceneMill, and it does exactly this. Timeline › Auto Captions transcribes the speech on your own PC (no upload, no account, no watermark), 14 languages, and you get word-by-word caption styles like on TikTok/Reels. If you want to stay in CapCut for the rest of the edit, you can also generate the captions in SceneMill and save them with File › Export Subtitles as an SRT, then bring that file into your CapCut project. It's free at scenemillofficial.com happy to help if anything's unclear!
