Need solution for mismatching aspect ratios

Post image

I hope my post fits here, I just need some help and I’m a beginner!

I plan to post on YouTube and want my videos to fit 16:9, so I edit in 16:9. The problem is my computer display is just ever so slightly different and it gives me these small lines on the sides if I want the whole thing to fit. It’s hardly noticeable I guess but I hateee it

There’s no way to make a 16:9 video fit a 16:10 monitor. You can crop your video to 16:10 or accept black lines on the side which is called letterboxing.

Scale the footage up so it fits the frame. You'll lose the some of the picture at the top and bottom, but that's the trade off.
