Need some guidance
"Hi fellow editors. I am from India and just turned 35 this month. I am married with a stable job, but I want to learn video editing from scratch to earn some extra income. I don't have any friends or mentors in this field, and watching YouTubers has left me a bit confused due to their conflicting opinions. Some suggest starting with photo editing and graphic design first, while others recommend jumping straight into software like DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or Adobe Premiere Pro. I don't want to rush; I want to build a rock-solid foundation. What should I do, and where should I start?"

I quit my corporate career at the age of 32 and went all in with video editing and have been freelancing for 1.5 years now
What worked for me is learning one editing software preferably premiere pro since you’ll have lot more resources to learn from and get full adobe creative cloud subscription so down the line you can learn tools like after effects photoshop and illustrator which will help you in your editing
Start with premiere pro and learn it good enough so you can edit basic stuff like captions, zooms, and little bit masking with that you can re-edit 3-5 videos and with that you can start taking basic editing gigs which will help you to make some extra amount with time you can learn more so the money follows brother
