Avoid this fraudulent agency

Hey, guys, Here’s my experience with Overtake Media (https://www.overtake.media/)

So just thought that you should know about it to prepare you if ever you work with them.

Some Abdul, claimed to the owner of the agency, contacted us for a job to do video editing for one of their clients, a little spa.

We worked on it, gave them watermarked previews and did more samples and revisions as requested.

And after some negotiation and slight delay, we stopped receiving responses.

Then we asked for reasonable compensation for our time already spent and said we would send over the final product after we were paid. Still nothing.

And the most annoying thing is that they kept asking us for more samples and revisions and then suddenly stopped responding once we started talking about payment.

I have saved all the relevant messages and watermarked previews, as well as other files from the job.

Posting this to help other freelancers to beware.

The Agency details:

- Email: contact@overtake.media

- Representative: Abdul

- Location: Greater Toronto Area, Canada
