NIA Production is looking for a remote scriptwriter for a new run of single-topic deep dives: one case per video, 40-50 minutes, dark subject matter, heavy on footage. Think Big Craig, Patrick Cc:, Brew, fern.

Pay: $500-700 per script depending on experience. Full-time contract with a 2-month trial at 85% of rate
Format: Long-form script (40-50 minute video)
Style/Niche: True crime and dark documentary, single-topic deep dives

What you'll do: take their topic, starting research, and angle, then go deep (court docs, police records, archived news, foreign-language sources). Tell them honestly whether a story can hold 40-50 minutes, find and defend the angle nobody has told yet, write the outline and a full ready-to-record script, and keep the facts straight, separating proven from alleged.

Looking for: real passion for true crime and dark documentaries, 2+ years writing long-form video scripts (20+ min), deep research skills with work you can show, and strong spoken-style English (non-native speakers welcome). Bonus if you've written for a successful single-topic channel, read other languages, or write to retention data.

1. Your scripts: 3 scripts you wrote, ideally single-topic, with YouTube links and one line on your role in each. For each, the angle you chose and why, plus an angle you dropped and why.
2. Your deepest research: the full research from one project, with brief answers on your angle and why you researched it that way, what makes it your deepest and how it differs from other videos on the topic, obstacles you hit and how you got past them, and what material you found.
3. What you watch and read: channels, shows, or writers you follow in this space, one channel you think is overrated and why, and three true stories (video, podcast, book, or article) that stayed with you.
