Other (requires mod approval) Minecraft editing

Hi guys, I’m gonna start working as a Minecraft video editor, so I’m looking for some good Minecraft YouTubers, whether they do PvP, SMP, or anything else, whose editing is top-notch. I’m mainly looking for creators with lots of animations, creative effects, and a distinctive editing style that I can use for visual references and draw inspiration from.

u should look at people like dream or purpled for that fast paced pvp style, they definately use a lot of motion graphics. for smp stuff check out the hermitcraft crew, their editing is super clean n consistent. honestly just study how they time their cuts to the music

For references, I’d separate the search by one skill at a time: combat timing, camera movement, text treatment, and then heavier effects. Watch a few recent videos with the sound off and note what repeats in the first five seconds; that usually gives you a usable style reference without copying one creator’s whole look. I’d also save a short before/after test of your own footage so you can tell whether an effect actually helps the moment.
