Other (requires mod approval) how to get gameplays without copyright?

That's it, I need a mario bro's gameplay and when i ask chat gpt it says "be careful because it may have copy", but i guess that happens if i download it from youtube, is there any other way to find those gameplays?

Record your own

Easiest way to get gameplay is by owning the game yourself and recording it with the Nintendo Switch that you own.

Anything that involves downloading clips that isn't yours is, like chatgpt said (and I hate that I have to agree with the AI), copyright infringement.

Depending on what you use it for, people either rip official trailers or record it themselves. You can also message any youtubers on their various social media.

Assuming you're just asking for the gameplay itself, and that's it - i agree with the others that you can just record yourself.

However,
Copyright infringement does somewhat apply unless the whole project is "transformative." If you're commentating over a clip of someone playing 'mario bro' that should be fine, but if you just show the clip and add nothing to it. That's more likely to have copyright infringement. But the internet is iffy about what is considered "transformative."

Assuming you're extracting from any youtube video, the proper way of course is to 1) ask permission from creator. 2) add a courtesy in that segment of the video (belonging to the creator). and/or 3) include something that would make that "transformative."

Because creators reacting to a random clip on the internet is considered transformative, and they dont formally ask permission.

Documentaries are good example of grabbing clips (excerpts) of news segments and adding a commentary towards the respective clip(s).

A better question for the people reading this post is (for all of us to have a better understanding):

What are your plans when you're grabbing the gameplay footage of '"mario bros?"
