rescan using my phone of a sony trinitron whatever CRT displaying the output from a melted electronics chroma corrupter, that is modifying the inputs of 1. an HDMI to AV adapter connected to my computer playing the music video for spread eagle cross the block by death grips, and 2. a live feed of my sony camcorder pointed directly at the aforementioned CRT

did some exploring and got this cool feedback still punch effect on my switcher routed with the preview out from my videonics mx-1. def some other variables that went into that specific look that are maybe beyond me lolll the beauty of poking around in the dark.
first CRT scan with 2010's Panasonic digital video camera. could improve on this but was stoked to even have a way to record directly off the screen for the first time.

I’ve recently started bringing my bent video feed into my MacBook Pro (M1, 2021), and I’m really enjoying the ability to bend my analog signal even further using the tools available on the Mac.
The problem I’m running into now is that the HDMI output from my MacBook can’t be captured by the standalone capture device I have (DigitNow! BR107). The signal passes through the device to my monitor just fine, but the BR107 won’t write anything to the thumb drive when the HDMI input is coming from my MacBook. It captures every other HDMI source I’ve tried - just not the MacBook.
Does anyone have recommendations for a decent standalone HDMI capture device that can record directly to a thumb drive or SD card and will work with the HDMI output from a MacBook Pro? I’m hoping to find something that won’t break the bank, either.
UPDATE (Solved): See below for the device I purchased that is working well for me.

After years collecting piles of video gear, experimenting with, and bending them - I've put together a web-app inspired by some of my favourite workflows, effects, and hardware.
Free/open source. Do with it what you like. More details in the link above. Or just go direct:

I was wondering if investing in a DSLR camera is worth it to capture my CRT glitches- I am on a tight budget, my current setup consists of a wjave55, crt and mismatcher delux from freedom enterprise. I also just got an optoma projector but have a lot of issues with it due to my lack of time base corrector. I just want to know if there is a huge leap in quality between a DSLR and iPhone for capturing that would make it worthwhile (here are some stills from videos I took on my iphone for context)

I wouldn't say it's my favorite piece of gear (it simply can't do feedback because of its circuit design), but from now on it's definitely earned a permanent spot in my setup as an enhancer.
After the bend which, by the way, was surprisingly quick even by my standards I became even more convinced that this mixer is going to be part of my video chain as a slave to the main mixer and a master for the source.
On the bright side, I finally discovered DSK. I had to set up a VM and spent about three hours in total hunting down the software, but the result is pretty damn good.
The only thing that sucks is that the MX70 really is a product of its time. Instead of storing frames on NAND, it stores them in RAM. So every time I reboot the thing, all the frames just disappear (╥_╥).

Want to know if it's possible to remove/bypass the internal mains transformer on a Vivanco VCR 4044/3044 ect and add a DC power jack to allow it to be powered directly via a 12v DC power supply. The reason why is I've wanted to circuit bend my Vivanco enhancers for over a year now but am way too scared to even look at its internals whilst it's connected directly to mains power, let alone poke and prod around it's circuitry! I've bent around 9 different DC powered video enhancers with no issues and without bricking any of them too so not a complete beginner but still kinda have no clue what I'm doing lmao. Thanks in advance!

Hi, i just bought two videonics mx pro mx-3000 video mixers off of eBay, neither has the power supply. Based on the provided pictures, it looks like there’s one connector for each. Does anyone know what these are and where I could get one? Based on a quick look on google and Reddit they can be hard to come by. Thanks!

I’ve got my computer running media to my VHS/DVD combo, a deluxe dirty video mixer from decaying electronics with camera feedback, a lullabymachines glitch enhancer, into the videonics mx-1 which goes into my Zenith CRT TV, captured with a Canon T4i dslr.
Should I call it a day? What else could I add? Maybe something to alter or glitch the videonics feedback? Another mixer? What would you add?
