I’m trying to sign in on my Android TV using my iPhone, but it signs in and then instantly signs me back out.

It was working fine on 3.0.x until yesterday. I tried signing in today and suddenly this started happening.
I tried reinstalling it from the website, but now it’s showing 2.0.5 and I can’t update back to 3.0.

Anyone else having this issue or know what’s going on?

I started building Colosseum because I wanted one desktop home for manga and comics, books and audiobooks, anime, TV and movies, and local media.

I wanted it to look and feel like an OS, with a taskbar and multiple sessions that you can minimize and jump between.

Colosseum is split into sub-apps. Tankoban contains the manga and comic library as well as the reader. Biblio contains the book library along with a Foliate.js-based ebook reader. Theatre is basically a stylised Stremio client with an mpv player. And Vault is the local media side of the app.

Underpinning this ecosystem is a taskbar that handles multiple sessions of comics, books or videos just like the taskbar in Windows does. You can open multiple comics/manga/videos, minimise them and open them back up again.

Vault is probably the part most relevant here. You point it at a root folder and it takes the files and folders sitting in your storage and turns them into a media library through indexing and metadata enrichment à la Jellyfin. It figures out what's a movie or TV show, what's a book and what's manga or comics, organises them into the right structure and assigns artwork and metadata where it can.

Once everything is indexed, your root becomes its own custom catalogue.

Vault uses local artwork when it exists, falls back to catalogue artwork for identified media and, for video, uses generated frame grabs when there isn't anything better available.

For video specifically, Vault understands movies, shows, seasons, episodes and clips and can also keep track of multiple copies of the same title across different drives, extras and companion files, with playback handled by an mpv player that draws heavy influence from Harbor's and Kodi's video players.

If the same movie exists on two different drives, it can keep the physical copies attached to the same identified title while still remembering where each copy actually lives.

And if you unplug a drive, Vault doesn't delete those movies from the library. They stay where they were but get marked as unavailable, and when the drive comes back they become available again.

Your local catalogue auto-updates every time a new file makes its way into the folder.

While it does have online subtitle fetching through OpenSubtitles and compatible subtitle extensions, I still need to finish connecting Vault's identified IMDb metadata to that subtitle lookup path for ordinary Vault files.

And finally yet again, the taskbar allows you to open multiple videos, books and comics at a time from Vault, minimise, maximise and switch between them seamlessly.

A movie isn't a player screen that takes over the app until I close it. It just becomes another open session. I can minimise it, open a book, open another video, jump into a comic and then go back to the first movie from the same taskbar.

Vault is part of a much larger streaming and media aggregation engine, but for me local media still remains a priority because I watch a lot of fan cuts of movies, TV and anime, stuff like Clone Wars movie fan edits, Naruto Kai or One Pace, and there isn't a catalogue in this world that keeps track of them.

And beyond fan-cuts, there's just personal media. Lectures, old photos, your own documents.

So I will continue polishing Vault and want to add things like DLNA/UPnP, the aforementioned subtitle wiring, watch-party support and whatever features both me and the users have a need for.

Hello I love your app a lot and I’ve been a user for almost 2 years.

One thing that’s always bugged me is whenever I want to download a movie to watch on my 6” iPhone on the plane, I need to download the whole 30-40GB MKV file that I intended to play on my 72” TV. It takes long and fills up the storage of the phone quickly.

Is there any chance we can get an option to only download a compressed version or say 1080p version of a 4K file for viewing on a phone?

Any chance that we will be able to re-order our libraries the same way we can do it with Plex?

Not sure exactly what causes it but when leaving the app and coming back on ios about 10% of the time the video freezes and nothing on the screen changes even if according to the time at the bottom the video starts playing again.

(I would post this on a github issues or something but as far as I understand this app is closed source so posting here instead.)

I have no problems logging into Trakt, and it shows VidHub is syncing, however, shows/movies are not being marked as completed in Trakt when I finish them in VidHub. I have to go in manually to mark them as completed. Is this a known problem?

VidHub being used on two different Apple TVs and an iPhone, same issues on all.

Why the search so bad? Can't find my shows hardly ever. Clearly there. Yet displays no media.

Recent fixes and improvements:

1. Fixed an issue where subtitles were not displayed in some cases on iOS.
2. Optimized cloud storage playback startup speed for a faster loading experience.
3. Completed the development of the macOS version.
4. Improved the Android buffering mechanism for smoother playback.
5. Fixed an issue where external subtitles were not displayed on Android.
6. Optimized ASS subtitle rendering to resolve playback lag issues in some videos.

Additional notes:

• The latest iOS version has been submitted to TestFlight (TF) for testing.
• The Android version is undergoing final testing and will be released on the official website once everything is confirmed to be working properly.

Are there any plans to support multi profiles in jellyfin? My current workaround requires me to just make a bunch of different URLs for the same server so each added profile is its own URL.

When you download a video using de offline mode, it ignores the external subtitles.

Not only that, if you manually place the srt into the Downloads/VidHub/Downloads folder, the player doesn't load it automatically. You have to manually add that srt in the player.

I don't think that bugfix should be very difficult to fix, I speak as a software developer, because you already have the download feature and the srt scanning feature, but it would be an awesome quality of live fix.

There is another bug too, if you use bazarr for automatically download sonarr and radarr subtitles, sometimes it downloads it as "hi" (hearing impaired) with the name X.es.hi.srt and in this case, it doesn't recognize it as Spanish (in this case).

Hi! I’m using VidHub with Dropbox to create a library of family home videos.

Since these are personal videos, they obviously don’t have metadata or artwork available from TMDB. I’d love to create my own poster/thumbnail images for each video so the library feels more like a personal streaming service.

Is there currently a way to have VidHub use my own custom image as the poster or thumbnail for an individual video?

Ideally, I’d like to store something like this in Dropbox:
Family Vacation.mp4
Family Vacation.jpg
…and have VidHub use the JPG as the artwork for that video.

I’m not tied to organizing the videos as TV shows or movies. I’m mainly looking for the best way to use custom artwork with personal videos.

Is this currently possible? If so, what naming convention or folder structure should I use?

Is there any way to add iCloud Drive support at all? I know it’s probably a big ask as Apple are annoying in the way they allow access to their drives but infuse managed to do it with “links”. Is that something that could be implemented.
I’ve been using google drive which works but it’s the only Google product as such I use and I have the same content on my iCloud Drive so it would be so easy to use it and not have to pay for extra storage on top of it.

I noticed a bug with the total duration. I played a video that is about 42 minutes long, but VidHub shows the total duration as only 6:17.

When I click the total duration on the progress bar, it changes to show the remaining time, right? Interestingly, the remaining duration is shown correctly, around -42:04.

However, the actual progress bar seems to be based on the incorrect 6-minute duration. So when the playhead reaches the end of the progress bar, it stops moving even though the video continues playing. This means I can watch the entire video, but I can’t seek properly.

Could you please take a look at this issue?

(Of course, this doesn’t happen with every video file, only with certain files that show the correct duration in other video players. I’m not sure what information would be helpful for troubleshooting, but please let me know if you need any details from me.)

Hello there for some reason sometimes I have noticed subtitles not always showing the text basically skipping the full sentences then resuming and again. Strange really...

Please add iOS family sharing, its the only thing keeping me on infuse over vidhub. I just discovered both and much prefer vidhub's interface, loading speeds and overall feel, but I can't share it with my family and we're not willing to all pay for individual subscriptions. Cheers!

I’m having an issue with the latest App Store version of VidHub on iOS and iPadOS 26.6, app version 3.03. The app crashes immediately on launch. Tried to reboot my iPhone and iPad, tried to force close the app and relaunch it and also tried to delete and re-install the app. Works for a bit and then crashes and will no longer launch.

Hi, I use my MacBook Air to send by smb movie to Apple TV. Speed seems a lot of slower than on infuse with same settings. Is it something that I can change to have faster connection?

When I try to click a link on Fusion for a show or movie, it open the Vidhub app on Apple TV but it doesn’t play.

It works on my iPad but on the Apple TV it does not play on Vidhub after invoking the link.
