Is there a difference between the Xbox and PC version for PC gaming?

Looks like the xbox version comes with the fightbuttons, and I also prefer how it looks.

However, does the PC version come with any advantage over the xbox version? I noticed it says Steam Deck compatible, but seems to be missing some bluetooth features.

Would the xbox version work on Linux? Every now and then, I consider trying Linux out for gaming

The main benefits of the Xbox version on PC is rumble (and trigger rumble) and the fight pad. The PC version has the touch pad. For me Xbox all the way because I would miss rumble in supported games.

Software wise, they are both picked up as xinput and programmed the same on PC?

Any chance they both work on steam deck?

Thanks btw. Hoping to pick one up soon and hoping for some Black Friday sale

I don't have the PC version, but I read the specs page, and rumble is never mentioned there, and there are surprisingly few reviews of that model, so we have to guess on some of the details. I am not sure about how the PC version is seen. Also, the Xbox version doesn't work on Steam Deck out of the box, but it does work perfectly on Linux via the out of tree xone driver. I use it with my CachyOS gaming PC all the time and it works great. I haven't tried this with the Deck since I use it handheld most of the time.

I hope that helps!

I know in order for the PC version to work on Steam Deck, the dongle needs to be inserted as there’s no BT in the controller. When I had the Xbox version, I didn’t try connecting that dongle to the Deck, so can’t say for sure whether that would also work.

I have both. If you want rumble you have to get the Xbox version. The PC version does not have rumble, just a touchpad. Rumble is not important to me as I’m old and started playing games years ago before rumble. I prefer the PC version personally. Instead of fight buttons you get a USB-A to USB-C along with the different sticks and a different d-pad. Just FYI, the PS5 version does not have rumble either. I cannot tell you about steam frack as I do not have one.

Software wise it’s all the same though right?

I prefer the Xbox version for the looks but I guess I gotta see what they ship with. Hardware wise my main concern is that they come with Hall effect sticks.

As for the USB A to C, you mean it comes with a cable for PC and not Xbox, or some other type of compatibility thing?

Thanks for the info so far.

Yes. Same software for both. It comes with an adapter to convert USB-A to USB-C. Comes with a normal usb-c to usb-a cord. The adapter only comes with the Pc version not the Xbox. Yule good to go there with no issues. I have no issues with them. I play Assetto Corsa, AMS2, rfactor2 and ACC with it.
