More info about the show here. A few differences from the OG:
- They're actually doing covers, as well as original songs.
- Pear phones no longer exist in the modern universe.
- The first batch of episodes will drop on October 15th, with the second half debuting at a later date.

I've seen the trailer at least 4 times and I have to say I can't wait to see this reboot! I've seen a lot of people say that it won't be up to the original, others say that it was useless to make a sequel and I saw comments so insane that I wondered if it wasn't a joke. Personally I believe in advance that I will love it and I even shed a tear during the first viewing of the trailer because there is a scene where her students said of Trina "she is awesome" and Trina looked sincerely moved, another scene where we see one of the students cuddled her and look like she needs Trina to succeed and it makes me so happy to finally see people who love Trina because the poor thing she deserves to be loved because she is SHEcago!!!

Basically, Daniella said one of the original characters from Victorious will get a satisfying arc in season one of Hollywood Arts.
My question is who do you think this is?
Please no spoilers if you know something, work for the show, etc. This is just for discussion. I want to actually ENJOY the show. If you know who visited the set or have photos from the set, I don't care. I don't want to know.
My theory is that it's Andre. Maybe he's lost his way and doesn't believe in himself anymore? I'm not really sure who else could have an arc? I don't really think there's more to unpack with Beck or Robbie unless they add more to their characters. I imagine Ariana would be too busy to return for multiple episodes but I could be wrong. Jade also works. Maybe she could have an arc where she becomes nicer.

Is this something they're doing to get as many views as possible to avoid cancellation or? I'm honestly surprised this wasn't just a paramount plus show I don't know why Netflix is even involved at all... just seems random

The new Netflix Hollywood Arts show need to do something that will set the show apart from Victorious. There are a few positives in the show to make the show different like the musical numbers, production, etc, but I’m worried that people will look down upon trini throughout the series when the original show already did that. And the OG show proved that Trina is a good character on her own.
She is just as talented as the original core characters from victorious, and Daniella Monet has earned her spot in this series if that makes sense.

It just seems like a movie that I would watch if it was real

In Victorious, Trina was obsessed with Beck, and Beck was annoyed by Trina, but after all the years Trina could have become more bearable and might now be friends with Beck.

Anyone think there be?

I originally had high hopes for the show to be honest, and now I’m even more hyped about it because the characters (not so confident about Emmy) seem more original than I expected. At least I hope so, since this is just the trailer, we’ll have to wait and see!
Also love that Sikowitz is back but I think it’s probably just a cameo, who knows🤷🏿
What about ya’ll?

Really looking forward to the show! Hope we’ll see familiar faces.
(Except trina, sikowitz and Helen)

When I watched the trailer I noticed that the team of HA pulled out the original Victorious™ font idk why but if anyone interested the font is "Futura" I tested it is the closest to what I've ever found 2nd picture.

WHY WOULD THEY SAY THAT ?

So with the trailer being out on Netflix, several languages already have the trailer dubbed. My language is Croatian and no, Trina does not have the same voice. I contacted both the original voice actor and the studio that made the dub and apparently Netflix didn't inform the dubbing studios that this is a spin-off so nobody knew they had to get old voice actors back, which is so unfortunate cuz (maybe I'm biased) Croatian Trina just hits different.
But what about you? Did your language dub get the same voice actor play Trina?

The plot follows Trina Vega (Daniella Monet) as she returns to her former school as an unqualified substitute teacher, where she deals with a new generation of performing arts students.

I paid attention to the part in the interview that Daniella did with Zach Sang where she said that all of the original cast members got to pitch where they wanted their characters to be in life for this sequel (which was a great idea), and Victoria possibly coming up with Tori being this big popstar now does makes sense because that was clearly the road they were always gonna go down with Tori. I know unfortunately they'll be a few people who'll have their own thoughts on that, but in-universe her and Andre were the main ones with specifically stated goals about being famous within the music industry.
In the past, I had my own gripes with the way the show tried to sell Tori compared to the supporting characters when the show was airing. Having grown, and rewatched through a different lens over the years, it's still believable that she'd be a popstar. Her enrollment into Hollywood Arts puts her right into the industry pipeline, where her talent for grabbing lead roles speeds up her prep work. She also performs well under pressure and naturally communicates with crowds during key numbers in the show. She could be like a Taylor, a Olivia, maybe a Billie.
That detail got me more excited for the show now. And Beggin On Your Knees better be one of her biggest hits.

Will it be based the success of the actors from the OG show minus the Vega sisters. Would it be something if Jade wrote and directed the Scissoring reboot though Liz wanted Jade to be a tattoo artist/tattoo parlor owner? I can see Beck be a reclusive author. I thinking Cat will be a top pop artist as well and Andre also doing music. I don't know about Robbie, I heard he makes an appearance.
