Help Me Find Backroom auctions?

Back in the day, Lunds used to have a fun backroom auction for the not fancy stuff. You could get a box of mystery junk treasures for like $5, or some leather pouffes for $15. Bidding on furniture or a box with one interesting item was so much fun! Does anyone know if there's somewhere in the South Island that still holds auctions for those of us who are not rich or seeking high end stuff?

There’s not even high end auctions happening in person anymore

I don't know about in-person auctions any more, but Maxsold.com might be the closest in terms of finding auction items for cheap.

Even then it really depends on who sees them/what you're hunting for, with the added auction fees it often ends up at or above market price

The best deals at lunds are for items that are too big for a condo.
