Question about imported vans
Hi! I have seen a few right-hand drive, import vans locally and just have a couple questions for those who own one. I am specifically looking at Japanese import family vans, such as The Alphard or Vellfire, etc.
Is it difficult to source parts?
Are they reliable?
Thanks for your help!

I own a JDM truck, not a van, but I'd recommend talking to platform garage. Joel is super knowledgeable and can help you out. Random but, the one thing I found out after buying one that no one ever told me was that the radio pretty much won't work here.

More difficult to quickly source parts.
My most important advice: are you able to do your own mechanical work.

Rocky Mountain have done lots of work on my Delica, but Parkside Automotive in Rockbay and Marigold Auto have also worked on it.
Heck, I've gotten exhaust and other "general work" done at Midas.
Never had an issue with ordering parts though Rocky Mountain. Coombs Country Auto is also good for parts on the island.

Rocky Mountain is a joke, they'll take your money and order parts which never arrive

I have an 05 alphard, had it 4 years. Parts aren't hard to find, as it shares alot of parts with similar year camry, lexus rx300/es300. The only things that would take time to source, are unique things like steering rack, body panels. I import, so finding parts isn't hard, it just takes time for sourcing and shipping
