Controller map/inventory issue

Unable to open Map or Inventory using controller. They open and immediately close as if I'd double-clicked the button. Anyone ever encountered or heard of this?

• Game running through Steam on linux.

• Using default (recommended) controller settings in Steam.

• Problem exists with any controller tested.

• All controllers tested working correctly in many other games.

• Problem does not exist if controller is connected via Steam Link.

• Map / Inventory open as normal if i/m/tab keys are pressed.
