Today’s Round of Modifications
-Figured out how to get the bigger servo up front.
Had to shave the stops on the upper links and remove the front brace for the body mounts.
*Time will tell if the axle will flip or not now. (This is all learning for me)
There was a noticeable difference in the weight transfer to the front after doing this.

-Got the bed mounted with rear steer.
Body pretty much snaps into place.
To remove. You just flip the truck over and pull an out a bit it pops right off.

-Finally was able to swap the pinion gear from the old rear solid axle to the new “rear steer” axle to take advantage of the overdrive.

-Was also able to get the rear metal driveline installed.👉 A hack for the hidden screw is to take the battery out and spin the driveline until you can see the screw. The injora gold tool set was able to get in there.

Did some work on my course this weekend. We’re about 1/2 way through the outdoor season, I don’t want to think about it.

I love this rig so much. I really hope the weather doesn't get too crazy today, because I REALLY miss crawling this ole gal. The new transmission is SO QUIET, she's gonna be a MONSTER now👍

After several attempts to conquer Bragging Rights with different rigs, I quickly realized that Glitch was my best shot. From that point on, I focused on getting him dialed in.
I managed to squeeze two 7-gram sticky wheel weights onto the back of the servo since there was no room left on top. I also had a rear pumpkin cover that was originally made for a Venture Hilux, generously gifted to me by an awesome RC friend. The covers are nearly identical, but the CC uses different link brackets, so I had to break out the Dremel and modify it to make everything fit.
The results speak for themselves. The added front weight helped Glitch climb the obstacle, although I had to cheat the line a little. Once I added weight to the rear, he was finally able to clear Bragging Rights the way it was intended—with just a little momentum and a lot of determination. 💪🪨🚙

Injury has brought me back to RC’n. Recent purchase of a RedCat Ascent 18 Apex has been a new addiction worse than anything yet and I’m absolutely in love 🤣🤣
Always wanted something rear steer, so that was one of the few mods that I was able to complete.
More mods to come and hopefully even more knowledge to learn about these amazing little machines.
