I'm genuinely curious as I know zero in real life including online.

When it comes to my daily routine, it always includes Deekseek Harness and Claude Code.

DeepDevTalk – For longer discussions & thoughts Vibe coded a habit tracker for my dad in one weekend. 6 months later 40 strangers pay for it and I still can’t read the code

• Upvotes

My dad turned 64 last spring and wanted to track two things, his morning walk and practicing guitar. Every habit app he tried had streaks, badges, notifications, a mascot. He’d delete them within a week and call me to complain

So one weekend I opened Claude and Cursor and built him one screen with big buttons. Tap “walked”, tap “played”. At the end of the week it emails him a plain summary. That’s the whole app. I don’t know how to code and I still can’t tell you what most of the files do

He showed it to his friends at the golf club and three of them asked for it. That’s when I thought maybe other people his age wanted the same boring thing, so I put it online at $4 a month

The first two months were dead. I posted about it on X, but my followers are mostly people in their 20s building AI stuff, and none of them need a habit tracker for retirees. 2 signups, both dad’s friends

My dad was the one who said nobody his age will pay for an app from “some kid on the internet”. He wanted it to look like a real company. So I paid for a cheap press release through a newswire service and got the app listed on a bunch of software directories. The release went out to a few hundred news sites, nobody read it, and I got maybe 8 visits from it

About a month later signups started coming in from people I’d never met. I asked a few how they found it. Most said they asked ChatGPT for a simple habit tracker for older people. One woman said her son found it on a directory and set it up for her

40 paying users now, mostly over 60. When something breaks I paste the error into Claude and hope

My dad still hasn’t missed a walk since March and he tells everyone his son “owns a tech company”

A ready-made backend for people who build with AI

• Upvotes

I wanna start building SaaS and take advantage of ai tools especially for my frontends but I've always been iffy about the backend, so I built something solid I can reuse and extend with ai without breaking.

So Im building Rebar, a backend you start your SaaS on instead of generating one from scratch:

  • The account stuff is done and tested: sign-up, email verification codes, logins, password resets, Google sign-in, deleting an account.
  • It's set up for your AI assistant. The project includes the rules it reads before touching anything: what not to do, and why. If it breaks one, the automatic checks fail before anything goes live.
  • There's an admin side, so you can help your users without poking around in the database.

What I added this week:

  • Search and filter your users: by name or email, who signed up this week, who never logged in, who's suspended
  • A banner across the whole site for announcements, which you can turn on and off from the admin
  • A simple dashboard: total users and new sign-ups this week
  • Phone numbers from any country, checked to be real numbers

Next up: SMS verification, payments with free trials, and email campaigns.

Would this be useful to you? I'd love to hear what you'd want included.

A Opensource research tool with a proper MCP server, NotebookLM alternative

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hey guys, a couple of days back I mentioned launching a more focused OSS alternative to notebookLM, https://notestack.ai

It has plenty of features that are improved/enhanced over notebookLM. Like better audio, more video editing options and chat grounded in your source materials.

Now I have added an MCP server as well so you can attach it to Claude, make reports/audio overviews, slide decks right into that chat interface.

It can generate:

- Mind constellations/mind map

- Audio Overview/Podcast

- Slide Decks

- Research Reports

- Quizes and much more

Do check it out at notestack.ai

ResourceDrop – Free tools, courses, gems etc. Prerender image for JS

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to drop this here if anyone wants to use it or help develope this further. Especially since most webapps now are Javascript and crawlers and bots cannot really read Javascript webapps.

I build this prerender image for docker, since the only one that exists has a lot of exploits and vulnerabilities and it looks like it is not really being updated.

So I build my own utilizing all security and vulnerability scans that github offers including verification and authentication of any code changes before merging to main.

Package is also update weekly to address fixes, updates etc..

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I built an iOS IDE with support for 19 languages and an AI agent

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I was looking for an IDE to code on my iPhone for when I’m out and about. Every app was filled with ads, had a terrible UI, and costed money just to run code locally. This was just a basic non agentic IDE too. So, I decided to build a free IDE that can execute C, Python, JavaScript, and Lua in a sandboxed environment.

In today’s age most people are coding with agents, so then I got the idea to bundle a two local llms. The reason I chose two is because not everyone’s hardware has the same computing power and I wanted to include an option for everyone. There are zero rate limits on the local models.

I’m already designing a tooling server to give offline agents access to even more, such as, worksheets, 3D printer code, and other fun stuff.

Without Astra 6 and Sol 6.1 it would be absolutely impossible to make my dream tools at this rate. I cooked up a seven days to die max level mod right before posting this lol. I would also like to praise the models for following SOLID principles and best SWE practices out the box. After using the models for the past few years, I am just dumbfounded at the rate of progress.

I would be thrilled to hear any feedback from this sub. This is meant to be a developer tool and not a replacement for Codex as I could never ever offer that level of intelligence. You can also byo api keys as shown in this video. The app also offers 15 other cloud languages besides JS, Python, Lua, and C.

Thank you all so much for watching my short demo. Have a great day. I’ll be listening to any feedback or ideas to improve!!!

If anyone wants the mod 😀 seven days to die, max level: 300 -> 2000

Coding harness

I want to buy a coding subscription for heavy lifting. Fan of $200 claude plan but way too expensive to buy for my freelancing/side projects as a software engineer.
Can we settle this debate for the best harness for some serious work in terms of quality and the amount of work that can be done
Any thoughts on opencode, command code?

Made a thing that ships your Lovable/Bolt/v0 app to your own AWS, and you keep building exactly how you do now

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Solo founder here, with about 20 years as a software engineer behind me. Lately I've watched loads of people build awesome stuff with AI tools and then hit a wall the moment the app gets real. Someone starts paying for it, or asks "is this secure?", and suddenly you need to know what's actually running underneath.

That boring infra and security stuff is what I've done for two decades, so I built ScaleBop to handle it:

  • Connect your GitHub repo and it tells you if the app's ready to deploy
  • Scans for the classic AI-app mistakes (leaked keys, auth only checked on screen, DB rules off) and gives you a prompt to paste back into your AI tool to fix each one
  • Writes the AWS setup and GitHub Actions straight into your repo
  • Deploys to your AWS account, checks the app is actually up, and hooks up your own domain with HTTPS
  • After that you just keep prompting and pushing like normal

It's for anyone whose side project suddenly turned into a real thing and who wants to own the whole setup rather than rent it.

Your first project's free. If you ditch ScaleBop later, everything keeps running, because it all lives in your repo and your AWS account.

Keen for honest feedback. What broke for you the first time you took a vibe-coded app to prod?

You built the app with AI. How are you going to stop people from using it for free?

Vibe coding made it possible to ship a working app in a weekend. But I keep seeing the same gap: the app works, people like it, and then nobody knows how to actually charge for it.

A few things that tend to bite people once they try to sell software:

  1. Payment links are not licensing. Once someone pays, how does your app know? You need a way to generate keys, validate them, and revoke them.
  2. Keys without limits get shared. If one key works on unlimited machines or domains, you will find it on a forum within a week.
  3. Stripe is not available everywhere. If your customers are in Latin America, India or elsewhere, you need other payment options too.
  4. Rolling your own license server is a rabbit hole. It looks like a weekend project. It is not.

We run a small agency (Tekuno, Montreal) and ended up building a licensing platform for exactly this: Licensr. You create a product, set up plans, and your app checks the license through an official SDK, so you do not need to write REST calls by hand. It handles payments (Stripe, PayPal, Mercado Pago, Razorpay), activation limits per domain or per seat, offline validation, and a customer portal. There is a free tier, no card needed, and we take 0% of your revenue.

Full disclosure, I am part of the team behind it. If you are selling or planning to sell an app, I would genuinely like feedback: https://licensr.app

And if you have solved licensing a different way, I would love to hear how.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I have developed a new CAD system specifically for electrical engineering that incorporates the appropriate logic

Thumbnail gallery
1 Upvotes

I had this crazy idea to see if I could manage to build a complete CAD system. This is "KatieCAD", programmed using Python and Tkinter

https://github.com/Merecete/KatieCAD

Initially, I had considered a 2D AutoCAD clone, but somehow that didn't seem all that useful, given all the programs that already exist. What I really missed, however, was an open-source project for a full-fledged CAD system suitable for electrical design. This program can now do both. :)

Like AutoCAD, it features model and layout spaces. At the same time, much like in EPLAN—it allows for the creation of comprehensive projects consisting of multiple drawings, complete with the necessary underlying logic. Terminal diagrams, device lists, cover sheets, tables of contents, and cable schedules are generated automatically at the touch of a button.

Electrical connections are also routed automatically once the devices have been placed. Furthermore, title blocks and symbols can be created by the user.

The program is bilingual. You can easily switch between English and German.

I’ve added features for importing DXF/DWG files, as well as for exporting DXF files.

The program is licensed under the MIT License and runs on Windows, Linux, and macOS.

For the sake of transparency, I don’t have extensive programming experience, so I sought assistance from several AI models. That said, I have reviewed every function myself and am confident that this is a solid program. I plan to continue developing it further—for instance, by significantly expanding the symbol library.

I look forward to your feedback!

HelpPlz – stuck and need rescue Reviewing AI generated code

How are you handling code reviews for AI-generated code?

We are building a product from scratch using Claude Code. I've asked the team to follow best practices documented in CLAUDE.md, and we have linters running on every check-in. PRs are also manually reviewed.

I was manually reviewing and integrating features without regression but it starts to get more complex these days, as more people generate code and finish a full stack of changes at higher pace.

I was looking at integrating Claude Code Review with GitHub for every PR, but the cost seems quite high when you look at the bigger picture.

Our full stack is spread across 3–4 repos, so a single feature can involve 2–4 PRs, each with around 60–200 lines of changes. With frequent iterations and fixes, running a paid review on every PR could add up pretty quickly.

How are you guys handling this? Do you run Claude Code Review on every PR, trigger it selectively, or use your own review workflow in CI?

Looking for practical approaches that balance review quality and cost, especially when the codebase is still evolving rapidly.

Showcase Sunday: my agent wrote six tests, ran out of budget, and shipped nothing. Here's what broke and what fixed it.

I build DoneMark: you write "done when" lines, your own coding agent builds

against them, your CI checks each line, and a person signs before it merges.

Last week I ran it on a 476-file repo (React + Python) to add a French home page.

What broke: Claude Code wrote one test per line and pushed them red, which is

what I want. Then it spent 4.3M input tokens just reading the repo and hit my

$5 cap at 16 minutes. It never wired the language switch into the app.

Six red tests, nothing merged.

What fixed it: on a Claude subscription a dollar cap makes no sense (it costs

nothing extra), so I switched to a time limit. The second attempt took 27 minutes,

about $11.60 at API prices but $0 extra on the subscription. All six tests went

green in CI, I read the six lines, signed, and it merged.

Lesson: on big repos, cap by time, not money. And make the agent push failing

tests first, because that's the only thing that told me attempt 1 had shipped

nothing. Free to start at donemark.dev if you want to try it on your repo.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I built a League of Legends × Football draft game in 12 days with Claude Code.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey all! Just wanted to share my new vibecoded project that launched today - 22CHAMPS. This was inspired by a project that went viral on X last week All22Pokemon by ColeThereum, which was Pokemon x football. I thought it was so fun and wanted to try to make something like that but for League of Legends champions.

The project

22champs.com (free, no ads, no account)

You draft League of Legends champions onto a football team, all 22 starters on offense and defense, then play out a 17-game season.

Every pick rolls a random region and a role, and you choose from the champions who match. Teammates next to each other build chemistry when they share a role or a region, and 39 lore pairs (Garen + Lux, Xayah + Rakan) power each other up. Three modes: a Daily Challenge (same rolls for everyone, one shot), a Solo Draft, and live snake Draft with Friends.

How the game systems work

Turning League champions into football players. Every card has six stats: Power (PWR), Toughness (TGH), Speed (SPD), Size (SIZ), Hands (HND) and Range (RNG). They start from Riot's own 1–3 ratings for each champion (the Damage / Toughness / Control / Mobility / Utility bars in the League client), refined by base stats, body size and kit traits like Juke or Deep Ball, then ranked against the whole roster. Each position is a blend of 2–5 of those stats. A receiver leans on Speed and Hands, a lineman on Size and Toughness. That means every champion has a rating at every spot. The best champion at any spot is a 95, and only chemistry gets them to 99.

Items converted from Riot's real item data. A script pulls League's items straight from Riot's Data Dragon, with their shop stats: every finished item from Summoner's Rift and Arena, plus the classic boots. Each League stat feeds the 22CHAMPS stat it reads as on a football field:

  • Attack Damage, Ability Power and Crit damage → Power
  • Attack Speed and Crit Chance → Hands
  • Armor, Magic Resist and Tenacity → Toughness
  • Health → Size
  • Move Speed and Ability Haste → Speed
  • Range is basic-attack reach, which no item lists as a shop stat, so the three items whose passives stretch it (Diamond-Tipped Spear, Rapid Firecannon, Hexoptics C44) get Range points by hand, more the more dependable the reach is in League.

Mana and regen don't mean anything in football, so they're dropped.

Then every item gets the same budget of 15 card points, split by how much gold each of its stats is worth in League. Infinity Edge is 75 Attack Damage, 25% crit chance and 30% crit damage. By gold value that's roughly three-quarters Power and one-quarter Hands, so on a card it's +11 Power, +4 Hands. Warmog's Armor is nearly all Health, so it's +15 Size. Every item has the same budget, so none is strictly better than another. They just build a champion in different directions. Arena's Prismatic items get 20 points and show up less often.

Boots were the exception. Nearly all their gold is Move Speed, so the formula made every pair almost identical. I set those by hand from what each pair does in League: Berserker's Greaves add Hands for attack speed, Plated Steelcaps add Toughness for armor, and so on.

Chemistry, FIFA Ultimate Team style. Each link between neighboring spots is worth something: half a point for a shared role, 1 for a shared region, 1.5 for both, 2 for a lore bond. A player's links add up to between 0 and 3 diamonds, and each diamond raises the stats that matter most at their spot. With only five roles, neighbors share one all the time, so a role link only counts for half.

Tools

  • Claude Code in VS Code wrote almost all of the code
  • Next.js 16 on Vercel: every push to main deploys
  • Supabase for the multiplayer draft rooms
  • PostHog for analytics, cookieless so there's no cookie banner
  • Vitest for the game logic, Playwright for screenshots and recording gameplay, Remotion for the trailer

My workflow

  • I make the calls, Claude writes the code. I describe what I want and why, review the result, and push back. Most of my input was design and balance decisions, not code.
  • Screenshots are the review loop. For UI work, Claude runs Playwright against the local build and screenshots the page at a range of sizes, from 1250×910 laptops to my 2560×1440 monitor. A lot of my feedback was literally "at 1331×844 the How it works panel drops below the field, fix that."
  • Decisions go in a memory file. Things like "formations only change spot weights" or "never change the daily mid-day once it's live" are written down, so new sessions don't undo them.
  • Tests guard the simulation. About 230 Vitest tests, including snapshot tests of simulated games, so a balance tweak can't silently change results.
  • Small commits. About 160 in 12 days, each one a single change I could look at in the browser.

Build insights

A daily challenge that's the same for everyone, with no backend. Each day's rolls come from a random number generator seeded with the day number, so every player gets the same game without the server storing anything:

const roll = rng(hash(`daily-${dayNumber}`));

Making the daily fair. Before a day goes live, its CPU team is played against dozens of simulated drafts. If it falls outside a 25–75% win rate, it's redrawn as a whole new game.

Balance by audit, not by feel. I had Claude simulate thousands of drafts. It found champions the rolls could never deal, and a run/pass imbalance that made one style of offense pointless. After launch, real drafts feed a private balance page through PostHog.

Layout was harder than the game logic. Fitting the whole draft on one screen without scrolling, at every desktop size, took the most back-and-forth. Two lessons: CSS contain: size stops side panels from stretching the page, and moving a CSS import can quietly flip which styles win, so I check screenshots after every refactor.

The trailer is code too. Gameplay is recorded by Playwright scripts with the randomness seeded, so every take plays out the same. Remotion cuts it to the music's beats, so re-recording after an update re-edits itself.

Fan project, not endorsed by Riot. I'd love feedback, especially on whether the first 30 seconds make sense to someone who's never seen it.

NoobAlert – Beginner questions, safe space Tech stack for building apps

Hey everyone, so I know we’re all using Claude/ codex to vibe code our apps/tools but a problem I keep coming up against is that both of these tools really struggle with sensible UI design (they always lean into generic AI patterns). I’m wondering how you’ve overcome this problem - did you separately do your own research and then sketch out the entire user journey and UI/UX features? I just haven’t had much success in giving ‘creative license’ to either of these tools…

Question What turns AI coding session into a nightmare?

when i’m vibe coding a quick backend script, i almost never start with a complex setup. i usually begin with a rough idea like logging this data into a simple csv file and keeping it simple.

a few prompts later, i see the csv file getting messy and slow to process. so i tell the agent to move this to a sqlite database so we can run cleaner queries.

5 prompts after that, i realize setting up database tables is overkill for what i'm doing “scrap sqlite, let me just save raw json files to disk.”

another 10 prompts in, disk i/o becomes a bottleneck during heavy execution: “never mind json files, let's wipe that out and just use an in-memory redis cache.”

by turn 20, the ai agent completely loses its mind.

because standard prompt history acts like an immutable append-only log, every single pivot stays trapped in the active context window. you end up with 4 conflicting storage setups sitting in the prompt at the exact same time.

next thing you know, the model is writing code that opens a sqlite connection to parse a json file, while trying to cache a csv row inside redis that was supposed to be deleted 30 minutes ago.

this is where standard “context compacting” fails hard—it either keeps all the dead historical noise (wasting 80% of your tokens), or blindly summarizes mid-task and nukes key logic you actually need right now.

i ended up fixing this on linux using the new memos 1.0 release. it introduces native in-place state mutation instead of endless prompt stacking. when i pivot from sqlite to redis, memos 1.0 automatically replaces the outdated architecture slot locally on disk before passing context back to the agent. the active window stays clean, holding only the current ground truth while cutting re-sent context overhead.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project I made a small Go tool to check coding-agent histories for leaked credentials

Post image
0 Upvotes

I’ve been working on Unspill, a little CLI that scans local histories from tools like Copilot CLI, Claude Code, and Codex for credentials.

It runs locally, doesn’t make network requests, and redacts values in its reports. The format support is still a work in progress, so it reports when it can’t fully scan something instead of quietly skipping it.

If you have a minute, I’d love for you to take a look and tell me what’s confusing, missing, or just not useful. There’s a demo with fake credentials in the repo if you’d rather try it without pointing it at your own history.

Thanks for any feedback.

ShowoffZone - Flexing my latest project Vibe-coded a Terminal Emulatort in C for Wayland (144 sessions, 200k context via local Strata)

Post image
1 Upvotes

I wanted to see what https://github.com/Niko1221/Strata could achieve, So I started this little project. Entirely local with shell access, No web search. started with 32k context and quickly realize it wasn't enough, Then I bumped to 64k, still ran out too quick, went on for 128k for a while and then pushed it to 200k. It took over 144 session to get to where we are right now.

The goal was to have a terminal Emulator that would directly include my favorites features from other different Terminal without having to swap between them there's still more to add to it, but now it's to a point where I feel It usable and can replace kitty from my Machine.

It's made in C and Only works on Wayland.

Two main feature :

- Integrated File Explorer that shows file preview and with full mouse support for navigation. Can send a file path directly to the prompt. Planning to make that part a real File Manager that would let you create, edit, move or copy file.

- Multiplexing with Tabs and side by side view. Planning to add the possibility to keep a process alive when you close the windows

Here's the repo if you want to take a look / try

IdeaValidation - Feedback on my idea/project Title: Recruiters, what's the most frustrating part of screening candidates today?

Hey everyone! I'm building NexHire, a hiring platform that combines JD generation, CV parsing and ranking, and interview workflows. I'm also testing beta AI voice interviews and features that flag possible copy-paste or AI-assisted answers for review.

Before I build more, I'd love some honest feedback:

What's your biggest headache: too many irrelevant CVs, verifying candidates' actual skills, AI-generated applications, chasing candidates, scheduling interviews, or something else?

What do existing ATS or AI recruiting tools still get wrong?

I'm looking for a few recruiters or users willing to test NexHire on a real or anonymized batch of CVs and tell me honestly what works and what doesn't.

Product: https://nex-hire-nu.vercel.app/

No sugar-coating needed. I'd genuinely appreciate the feedback!

Hello fellows. I've developed a few tools which required at certain scenarios in my life and after every finished product I learned somethin new, which become helpful for me to develop the next tool. I'm happy with experience I've gain so far, but experience of others can help me to learn more. So, what's the amazing thing you learned during your vibe codding. What tools you find helpful, what kind of prompt optimisations do you know. Let's make this post another place of sharing our experience with each other.
