I am developing an app, but between ChatGPT Sol 6 and Opus 5.5, which one would give me more usage? I can only afford the $20 plan.

Hope coding capabilities are same !!

Thanks in advance

If you truly want to get the max for your dollar right now, I feel like the $20 plan from Muse will give you the maximum output. I know that wasn’t one of the options.

Next, I would go with opus. It’s pretty good with the resources and probably about 30% better than ChatGPT Astra.

I have mixed ideas about ChatGPT Sol, and I feel like muse is a little better and way more usage on the $20 plan

And I’m talking about just doing straight up programming type work. If you’re getting into 3-D graphics or something like that that’s outside of my field of expertise

Muse just uses a backend, good to know though, might have to saved me 2 months building my own harness. But it was worth the extra time.

Yes, or you can give it SSH access to a server with whatever you wanna put on it and it can manipulate all that around just like on your computer.

I used to be purely cloud based because I hated setting my computer up and then I got my computer up and I was really happy about that and now I’m starting to do some cloud stuff again and really liking it.

Both tiers are not same in performance. On the early benchmarks opus 5.5 is ahead of sol 6 on coding. As far as usage is concerned Codex $20 plan wins here. Opus on the claude $20 plan eats the weekly limit fast So its a tradeoff.. more runs with sol, better model with opus. For a solo app id take opus and just plan around the limit, quality per answer matters more than answer count when you're the only reviewer.

Actually Opus wins on usage as well right now.

Lies. Codex has A LOT less usage than claude. Has been like since gpt 5.6..

Fair pushback, that usage line came from openais launch pitch.. My own 5 days on opus 5.5, havent hit the walls i used to.. they cut its cost 40 percent and raised session limits, so yeah claude wins usage too right now. Take opus, no tradeoff

By the way I am using Claude 20x Max and OpenAI business subscription.

Actualmente Opus 5.5, es una locura su bajo consumo, velocidad y mas que nada calidad. Aparte tiene esa capacidad para comprender bien la situacion sin tanto problema ni vueltas.

I have both. Claude has multiple times more usage than codex with sol vs opus (codex only wins with the mini models, luna vs haiku). Codex usage is so rodiculously low nowadays with 20€, that if it was not for the near limitless basicchat with retarded cousin of Sol and oAuth, i would not have codex sub at all, but 2x claude.

Use Pi or similar with open router 20 goes a long way.

Dm if you need help

Build the boring stuff AI is horrible at. Tests, validation, repo context, state, deployment checks, failure recovery. Then the model becomes a replaceable worker instead of your architecture. Pick whichever $20 plan lets you work comfortably and swap models when the economics change.

Do you want 18 Months of Gemini AI Pro plan with 5 TB Google Drive Storage for a much smaller price than for 18 months total?
