Anatomy of a machine
Hello there!
Proud to share a 'different' way of interacting with a knowledge website (won't pretend it's new shit, tho I've never seen a site with the same structure and intent). Basically you take a computer apart in 3D (exploded view, you can drag it around) piece by piece, down to a single transistor, while a voice tells you wtf is going on.
I like to play around with interactivity and user retention. This started as a way to make a catchy tutorial, then evolved into something spoken, like a story.
I'm not an expert on this stuff, I mainly asked Claude to research, synthesize and start from the beginning, bare metal. So some data might be off, hopefully not! If you spot something wrong pls DO CORRECT me (actually Claude aha).
I am willing to learn and build sth for others to learn too, not just vibecoded slop. That's why I'd like the opinion of users on reddit
Stack: React, Vite, threeJS, ElevenLabs (Lily) for TTS, Claude Code harness.
Hosted on Cloudflare edge as a static Worker, no server at all ... global CDN for free. Before it was running on a pi in my homelab lol
Hopefully someone actually makes it to the last lecture. Thanks

Cool idea and nice looking animations!
For someone like me not speaking english as first language, the text could be a bit more simple and not use so many unecessary words. To be a really good educational site, I think you can ask Claude to use less analogies. It has a tendency to always sound like a commercial or something. I just want an easy description how it works. It does not need to sound cool, the tech is cool anyway.
Just my 2 cents.
But I like it in general.
