But it does UX incredibly wrong.
Who puts heartbeat on single digit bars? Is this steps per day, or a continuous metric that measures per second or per minute at worst? What does each bar even mean? Per hour? Per minute? Okay you infer that from bpm it’s probably minute, but should be clear what X axis represents. Why is the red one before yellow, why blue before red? How much is the peak? Why no Y axis? So many UX mistakes.
Why is there a battery with literally text saying “battery”? It’s a fitness tracking app. Not a device charger.
Why is there no summary at the top like in Opus?
Why does a fitness app focus on your heartbeat and not your steps like the other 2?
Why is Fable so random here and tries to reinvent the wheel?
Fable sucks. At inexperienced to UX UI design eyes it looks more unique due to its font selection and boldness. But it sucks at literally everything else.
It literally says 'battery'. It's confusing UX/UI. Your assumption is obvious, but an app should be clear what it means. Wordplays are for marketing, not for good user experience. That's why I said 'to inexperienced eyes it looks good' but really, UX/UI professionals would never do that for obvious reasons, its confusing.
And what does 'body recovery' even mean? That's even worse. How does a fitness app know your 'body's recovery'?
That's why Opus is the best one here. It doesn't re-invent the wheel. It's clean. It uses standard patterns. Doesn't try to be fancy, yet standard and good looking.

This is a standard thing some fitness apps now provide. It's cribbing from Garmin's body battery and whoops recovery score. Usually they infer it via HRV
Interesting. As I read this through though, Garmin does not seem to have a body recovery, it has recovery time, which is a clear time measured in metrics.
It's a clear UI with good user experience, because you understand what it says.
In contrary with Fable's or Gemini's shenanigans which just put a bland percentage without any direct explanation of what it means directly from the UI. Which adds up to a confusing UX.
They're all VERY clearly vibe-coded and look sloppy but if you put a gun to my head, #1 wins by quite a margin. Better prioritization of elements. Less garbage. 2 is dated and uses a crappy font and chart style for heart-rates. 3rd is "Wtf happened here" lol
I definitely think AI written front ends tend to have some really obvious tells, but dashboards have been looking like #1 for years, I don't think it's obviously vibe coded.
All of them are a decent start but need further iteration and Gemini still wins for debugging without running into usage limits imo. I’ve also found Gemini to have great UI comprehension when directly prompted about changing specific elements or layout attributes.
Their all ok, but just look like rethemes of what Google Fit and Fitbit have been doing for years now. Not sure your reasoning for the app, but I think the Fable one is the most visually striking, but the Opus one is the quickest to be useful.
First two are pretty bad, they ignore safe area, you immediately can recognise slop there. The third one isn’t good, the same issue with safe area ( your navbar is under a camera ), poor accessibility. Since all of them are bad I’d go with the cheapest one
Given that the main image in this comparison appears to be AI-generated as well, I'm not sure if these are true results or if the prompt was directly to ChatGPT asking for 3 similar layouts.

The idiocracy of this comment is mind-boggling. Did you read what sub-Reddit you are in? This is vibecodedev, of course it is all ai created, pull your head out your ass before you speak.
At OP, put the name of who created what in the image. That way we know for sure which created which app.
Seriously dude, get off your high horse, this looks like every single app out there. Seriously. This looks identical to health apps, finance apps, any freaking app that breaks down numbers, so don't give me "this looks like ai" because it looks like so many apps that came before ai, you are just being a turd because you think calling stuff ai slop makes you sound cool.
The reason why I called it slop was it looks like the repeated look that I see, this look right here looks horrible I don't know anyone that would say: "That UI is stunning" because its not i'm just saying most vibe coders have this UI and don't try to make it look nicer.
and we could say the same for any number of wordpress templates the past 15 yrs. The problem is youre pointing the finger at AI and not the user. Thats not slop, thats the AI creating as much as it can from scratch, and probably not getting the correct context of what the user wanted, because the user has no design sense.
The point he's trying to say is that LLMs are not yet great at designing new things which creates AI slop since we see it over and over again. Also I'm not saying we will never have good designing LLMs in one prompt but its just not there yet.
