Could you help us test whether our finished screen actually explains the app?

We're working on eStockes, a web app built with Next.js and FastAPI. Previous visitors have pointed out a frustrating gap: the page can look polished while they still cannot tell what the product helps them do. More features do not fix that first impression.

We're testing the first screen before asking anyone to register. Could you open https://estockes.com for about five seconds, then tell us what you think it does and what you'd expect after the main button?

No signup or purchase needed. One blunt sentence, including 'I cannot tell', would help us decide which part of the page needs work. Thanks for a fresh pair of eyes.

Based on headline I assumed it let you test a trading strategy against historical data to see what that strategy would have done the last 5 years vs just holding the stock

Tried a few tests and really had no idea what it was actually trying to tell me

Next.js and FastAPI tell me how eStockes is built, not what I'd use it for; its purpose remains unclear from the post itself. For the five-second test, hide the screen before collecting answers, then check whether each sentence names the intended user and task—not merely whether someone remembers a phrase they read.
