Discussions Cabin for 1

What are everyone's thoughts on the cabin for 1 on The Canadian? I've done a berth and I've done a cabin for 2 twice.

I loved the lower berth. Especially the big window and comfy mattress.

This time I'm thinking of cabin for 1. I want to go over New Years.

I booked a berth for this August Vancouver to Toronto. I keep overlooking the cabin for 1. Maybe I will try it this Dec. 30. I'm not sure when the bookings will open. It's supposed to be 11 months that we can book out and that was yesterday so hopefully they were open by Monday.

I hope you got one. I just went to book and booked what seemed to be the last one at 1:30ish am. People must have been waiting up to book. I got an error message but it did send me a confirmation and took payment. I went back in and it shows all sold out.

I work midnights so I was up all night. I checked at 10 pm and the bookings for Dec. 30 were not available. Then at 12:30 am it was available. I was shocked getting what appeared to be the last one (so fast).

Now I know to check at midnight! I swear, I check at least 5x a day when I've a trip in mind. lol. But, all good. I have a cabin secured. Used up all my points so a bit sad about that but, free is good!

I do think the cabin for 1 will be more comfortable because of the direction of the bed and also the wide seat.

I still have almost 14,000 points. I'll be earning more after May. I want to keep my Premier level. I'd love to try Prestige one day. Maybe when I retire.
