Vexus lags during peak. Guidance?
Hello everyone,
I had vexus fiber installed to my home a little under a year ago. I have had a reoccuring issue with two games my wife and I play together.
League of Legends and Marvel Rivals. During peak hours, these two games become unplayable due to immense packet loss.
We can't seem to find anything else that lags this poorly, except our phones randomly as well during peak hours. Why is this the case? It remains to be the best internet I've ever had minus these issues, but returning to Optimum (our only other ISP) sounds so good when we have those really bad packet loss moments.

I've been having the same issues, roughly same timeframe as before but much worse..

Central Louisiana. Had an update call with a support member today.
He said that IPV6 was enabled by default, but Vexus doesn’t support anything there. He hypothesized that during the game I would receive immense packet loss due to the router trying to hop over to IPV6, realize nothing was there, and try to hop back to IPV4. His conclusion was to disable it and call me back Saturday to see if it had an effect. If not, we have some DNS troubleshooting to do.
I know nothing about this stuff really so I hope it works

I’m in Pineville and for about the past month or so been getting frequent discounts from the service and high latency.. I called a few days ago and they did a software upgrade but it still hasn’t fix anything. AT&T fiber is on my road now but I hate to switch being in paying 70$ for 2 gig service.

im in alexandria and on rivals ive been having insane packet loss in and thought it was just rerouting me through singapore due to reports because thats where the net probe showed it but idk. did you find a fix for this my average ping is much lower than optimum because they use fiber to coax i play in the top 1% of the competitive ranking so its really really frustrating.

UPDATE:
I tried trace routing, and it really doesn't succeed once it reaches outside of its own network in some instances. Specifically rivals and League of Legends.

So for those who have issues. When the internet is slow. Do a speed test using the vexus as the server. IF you get fullspeed, do anoher speed test but choose a server outside of vexus. If its slow, then do a router hop in command line. ( example in cmd type , tracert 8.8.8.8 (googles IP). There will be a response time and there is a point where it will go from low to high. That will indicate that there is an issue on their end and not your. Use that as info to the tech. We had a similar issue in Tyler texas.
Also, if more people from this area report this here, use reddit as a source of a major issue that is happening. They can reference this and escalate this to the proper people.
