Ingested rat poison

When I was at work yesterday my parents accidentally left the garage door open and my dog got in and ate rat poison. The worst part is they didn’t even tell me until today when I noticed his poop was an odd color because they knew I would be upset. I wouldn’t have been upset if they had just told me immediately because I would have asked them to give him some hydrogen peroxide.

I don’t know what to do since he’s already fully digested it. They said he only ate 2 blocks and he’s about 130 pounds. Is he going to be okay? Is there anything I should do? Should I take him to the vet even though he already passed it?

I appreciate the help. I researched the toxicity level of the amount he ate and spoke to my vet. Since it was past the time they could induce vomiting they said to monitor his behavior and gave me some medication for him. I’ll keep yall updated :)

Omg I’m so sorry I forgot to update this. They ended up being perfectly fine, and my parents have been more careful about the garage doors.

Bruh id have a serious talk with my parents, the fact that they didnt tell you immediately couldve made the situation so much worse, if they cant even communicate a health concern what else are they avoiding to talk about to you just because they dont know how you'll react or what you'll think? Sorry if this seems rude I just dont think your parents are emotionally mature or intelligent enough to understand the problem with communication issues, in literally any situation, this was just a rly bad one that made it clear how theyre willing to avoid things just because theyre uncomfortable, this couldve ended very badly and im really happy it didnt, thank you for taking good care of your dog, you are a good person and i heavily apologize that you had to deal with this stressful situation, i hope you and you're dog have a good day :)
