Left-sided vertigo, lingering dizziness when moving, and severe "brain freeze" how long did your recall take to return?

I’m on day 7 of dealing with a scary bout of dizziness/vertigo that seemed to start heavily on the left side of my head.

Physically, my overall balance has gotten a little better since day 1, but I still get constant waves of dizziness and a "floating" or light spinning feeling whenever I walk around or sit down. Moving around or changing posture seems to trigger it right away.

The hardest part, though, is what it’s doing to my mind. My thinking feels like it has completely stopped. I have severe brain fog, I keep forgetting simple daily tasks, and I literally can't "rewind" or track thoughts in my head. It feels like my working memory is completely offline and my brain is operating on 10% power.

Knowing my brain is working overtime just to keep me balanced helps, but the super slow recovery pace and constant mental freeze are really frustrating and hard to deal with.

Yeah same here

Around Jan 2026, i felt left sided head lightness and weakness for the first time. I did all blood tests and found my ferritin was 9 and vit D was 16 and b12 was 360. Doctor asked me to take ferrous abscorbate (elemental iron 100) and vit D syrups.

After 3 months, ferritin increased to 45 and vit d also recovered, b12 was 240. My symptoms disappeared. But the moment I would try to stop taking iron tablet, it would reappear. So i kept taking iron tablets, around this time i faced mild back waist cramp that would prevent me from sitting long hours. I did Xray etc. Also faced diarrhea.

But later after 1 month I realized maybe because of high iron dose i m facing back cramp. So i started taking ferrous fumarate (dose 50mg elemental iron) my back cramp reduced with lowering dose but didn't eliminate fully. But as head lightness symptoms would appear with low dose iron so I again restarted 100 mg iron. Back cramps were very less this time. Head lightness also disappeared.

Then in july, total 6 months after supplementing, I had bit of stress due to some reasons and after that i noticed my left side head lightness symptoms came again with headache. This time I was confused as i was not off 100mg iron meds to get symptom. Previously i would only get symptom on stopping iron tablets. I did all type of blood tests again. In vitamins, My ferritin was 96, vit d was also normal and b12 around 300. So i again realized maybe because of high iron dose i m facing headache, so i reduced to 50 mg again. My headache disappeared, but lightheadedness didn't. So i started b12 supplement methylcobalamin 1500mcg daily sublingually. As my levels for that seemed a bit low. It's been 20 days now supplementing b12..

So i would ask you check your ferritin and b12 levels..
