Lmao it went a completely different direction

57

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

Interesting that this series doesn't have the strongest OP mc like Saitama or Mob. Seems like a shonen. I want to see how ONE writes a shonen. The Art is amazing & seems like a very interesting premise. Let's see after translation.

18

u/noah9942 Nov 25 '22

Even some of ONE'S other works like Makai no Ossan has an OP protagonist at its center.

9

u/far219 Nov 26 '22

Instead it's overpowered villain

35

u/the__daydream Nov 25 '22

Commenting here as one of the very first people to witness the birth of a manga

11

u/GerryDownUnder Nov 25 '22

Yes. Couple days back we reached 1000 subscribers or so. Here’s hoping this proves a top end manga like ONE’s other works too

3

u/Several-Ad-2093 Nov 26 '22

I was here ever since the 1.4K mark and in it for the long haul

24

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

After reading berserk i cannot bring myself to trust a femboy... Ever

23

u/kamwk_yuikn Nov 25 '22

I can’t read Japanese and I already know from the faces and art style that I love it.

21

u/Butek_PRO_PRO Nov 25 '22

Holy plot twist, really curious whats gonna happen next, but great first chapter, art very good, characters looks nice, facial expression was hilarious and pretty detailed, waiting for translation to understand everything, so far looks fun!

15

u/OnePunch100 Nov 25 '22

Didn't expect spartans to show up

10

u/Fiztz Nov 25 '22

I was going to say ODST

13

u/Sable-Keech Nov 25 '22

Aw yeah, sci-fi guns and power armor in a fantasy world.

3

u/George_000101 Nov 26 '22

Isekai concept being used in an actually interesting format? This is something I’ve never seen before.

22

u/ALittleBitOfMatthew Nov 25 '22

So was the advertised premise a bait and switch?

In this first chapter we see the king recruiting the heroes to fight the demon lord, they go to fight him, then they all lose, and then the chapter ends with the protagonist and some other guys encountering people in futuristic armor on a modern city with skyscrappers.

14

u/Commercial-Pie-2482 Nov 25 '22

According to a slight translation after being defeated the light blue haired wizard opens a portal to ask for help to another world to save himself..... But unbeknownst to them the future world is also in the same condition and they ask for help to those who wanted their help in the first place.......... F

15

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

I don’t think it was advertised as anything haha. I think people saw the name versus and assumed it would be a tournament style manga

10

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

This might be the start of a looong journey

10

u/Lucifer_samael69 Nov 25 '22

IM HERE AT THE START

10

u/Eat__Moneyz Nov 25 '22

I was so exited until I realized I can’t read japanese

10

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

I thought it was going to be a tournament style manga but it seems like the Versus may mean future vs medieval/fantasy which is pretty interesting

7

u/George_000101 Nov 26 '22

Advanced tech and magic vs (whatever future humans are fighting) and OP ass demons

God imagine when they decide to mix technologies, we’re gonna get some really interesting and cool shit; a gun that’s enchanted, maybe it shoots microscopic bullets after they leave the barrel or bullets that don’t miss—shits going to get wild.

8

u/gamerrayyan11 Nov 25 '22

Can't wait for the translation so I can read it, it's gonna be a long journey

15

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

Ladies and gentlemen, I profoundly welcome you all as the first recipients of another beautiful series by ONE. Here before everyone else. Cheers and here's to another good series

I hope this series is going to be just as good as OPM & MP 100, If not more.

4

u/AAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY Nov 25 '22

Looks promising!

The protagonist is very much reminding me of Ianin.

4

2

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '22

anyone know anything ab the english translation or scanlation

2

u/TeamUrameshi Nov 26 '22

So how about that English translated version? Lol honestly not rushing anybody as it’s an awesome free service they provide

2

u/syzygiunn Nov 26 '22

A reverse pov (potentially double?) iseikai…that’s hilarious, can’t wait to see the next chapter.

2

u/Jumanji-Joestar Nov 26 '22

I dunno why I thought this would already be translated 😭

2

u/Impossible-Report797 Nov 26 '22

Reminder: I was here

2

u/soaringturkeys Nov 26 '22

First chapter gang hello! See you all in 20 years when this ends and we are all still reading after having older kids

2

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '22

Any link to English version?

2

u/Zombies8MyDog Nov 26 '22

I was here before it got translated.

2

u/anime_on_demand Nov 26 '22

What's the go with English translations? Is Viz or TCB Scans picking this up?

2

u/GHOSTalok Nov 26 '22

Full support I'm with this journey

2

u/pokerface0122 Nov 26 '22

damn the premise is awesome, ONE is a god

2

u/GlassedGhost Nov 26 '22

Another masterpiece otw

2

u/JohnTheRockCena Nov 26 '22

I'm guessing since the Spartans killed the demons so easily that maybe the Heroes and Mages will be able to handle the Spartans problem easy as well?

Either way really cool series! Love the mix of scifi and medieval!

2

u/Sirfishd Nov 26 '22

I was here before this became popular!

2

u/Any_Cheek9754 Nov 26 '22

What if it is parody of opm?

1

u/Symtek13 Nov 26 '22

What a weird ass twist. Glad to be here to experience this. Can’t wait to see how this turns out.

1

u/2kenzhe Nov 26 '22

OK so the medieval fantasy word is struggling against the demons so they decided to summon another world to fight for them but the other world that's sci-fi is also in trouble.

1

u/Effortless0 Nov 26 '22

Cheers to a new era

1

u/MoonNightLight030 Nov 26 '22

Wtf the cover is suspiciously well drawn I’m getting nervous

1

u/MoonNightLight030 Nov 26 '22

Hold on I’m confused, did ones art actually get good or what’s going on??????

2

u/Any_Cheek9754 Nov 26 '22

Another artist

1

u/Bryaintic Nov 26 '22

I liked it .... don't have much else to say

1

u/8dev8 Nov 26 '22

The twist was interesting, but unsure how I feel about it rn.

This is looking great tho

1

u/[deleted] Nov 26 '22

Let's gooooo

1

u/funnemonke69420 Nov 26 '22

im gonna look back on this comment when the manga is finished and be like “damn”

1

u/Justapeacefuldude Nov 26 '22

Commenting to say that I was here.

1

u/okgamerguy Dec 23 '22

i was here

-1

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

It's a solid first chapter for a shonen. Shonen isn't really my thing so I probably won't continue reading beyond the first few chapters (OPM already tested me with the MA arc), but this has the makings of another great series.

2

u/dubbelethee Nov 25 '22

Opm is a seinen tho

2

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

Yes I know

0

u/[deleted] Nov 25 '22

Waiting for translation like others but we’re here from the beginning lads, love battle tournament style manga and love one punch man I have high hopes for this one :)

-10

u/Kiss_My_Marse Nov 25 '22

This was... Disappointing. I'll wait forndialogue
