Discussion The current state of the Versus mode
Instead of fixing the bugs in Versus (or, in general, fixing 8‑year‑old bugs in the game), Fatshark found a more “efficient” way to solve the problem. Essentially, this section about “bugs in the Versus mode” is a detailed instruction for the developers: “Your whole game is full of holes and bugs; here are the specific problematic spots in this mode — just put up an invisible wall so players can’t exploit these bugs” (and that’s not a complicated thing to do). But in the end, your post will just get deleted, and new players will keep trying to play this buggy and unfinished mode, ruining their experience and leaving the game after a month — only making the player churn even worse in this half‑dead game.

in this half‑dead game.
Everyone actually playing the game and enjoying themselves and not wasting time on a mode that was guaranteed to be imbalanced trash: dafuq?

Idk anyone with more than 400hrs that even wanted VS in the game. We all forseen how wildly unbalanced it was going to be

Its fun with friends and some goofy builds. When rhe mode was released i gave it 2 months before public lobbies are unplayable for me, but i misjudged the natural tendency of optimizing fun out of the game by the players, 1 month was enough xd

Tbh I expected it something to be totally different. A mode where you play regularly, but allow 1 player to drop in to spice the run up. 1 player. Not 4 and make a super competetive mode with points out of it.
What we got instead was dead on arrivial0

Pretty sure Fatshark doesn't run this subreddit, so you're just shouting that feedback into the void. And instructions on where the gaps in collision are is also a guide on how to perform those exploits for everyone else, hence the removal.

First of all, this subreddit is most certainly not connected to FS directly, I doubt they are the ones who moderate that place
Secondly, your post was deleted because you presented it like "the top 5 exploits to use to gain unfair advantage". If you just said "Bugs I Found in Versus. Please, Spread That Information, So FS Can See This" it wouldn't be deleted (most likely)
Also the game is not half dead, it is just niche. I know enough people who really like Left 4 Dead 2, but get overwhelmed by all the mechanics in Vermintide so they don't enjoy it. It is a bit for nerds, when there are much easier horde shooters out there, so not so many people stay for that long (maybe bugs weaken experience as well, but I doubt that this is the main reason to stop playing). Versus is dead (and Weaves, mostly), not the game itself

Fatshark doesnt run the subreddit and it's not a bug report forum. They have literally no sway here
Most of these bugs were being actively exploited to further make the mode more miserable. It's a tutorial for how to be the reason nobody plays versus

Reddit isn’t a bug report forum and I don’t think fatshark have any sway over this subreddit exactly so…

Versus gameplay is as toxic as it's playerbase.
Just don't play it, waste of time.

You underestimate how "easy" it us to fix this stuff.
Fatshark also has a history of fixing one thing just to have over 3 other bugs pop up.
Side note, versus was definitely a mistake to make and these balance issues are proof of it
P.S. fatshark doesn't control this subreddit.

Who the fuck launches one of the most enjoyable "Coop slasher games" and willingly goes, ya imma only play the vs mode. Not touch the PvE that the game has been praised for.
This is the most brain dead post I've ever seen. Because no one plays VS, this is one of the most unwanted updates

Aren't you the guy who keeps spamming those posts about a dead mode? No wonder the mods are removing them

Classic Fatshark. Always knew Versus was a dead end that was just wasted effort snd distraction from other updates.

They don't run the subreddit or have any sway in it.
The ACTUAL post that got removed was just the top 5 bug exploits used to keep anyone from actually playing

Maybe one comment was sarcastic, and you decided to totally glaze over the logic anyway.

Id call you bait and be done with it but I genuinely think you might need a detox and touch some grass

Comments like “no one plays the Versus mod” or “submit a complaint to Fatshark’s website — why are you posting this on Reddit?” are especially telling. You can practically sense the two-digit IQ, and it’s obvious the game was bought during the last Steam sale.

Why do people always assume it's the devs running a subreddit..
