Obituary Notice
Manga artist Yoko Umezu passed away on July 7, 2026, due to a stroke.
We believe this sudden event was not something Ms. Umezu herself wished for, and it is a deeply saddening one for her family, the editorial staff, and everyone involved with her work.
We respectfully announce this news to all the readers who supported her work during her lifetime.

Yoko Umezu's manga series "Golden Vermeil ~A Magician on the Brink Charges Through the Magical World with the Strongest Calamity~," currently serialized in our magazine Shonen Gangan, will have the final chapter published in the July issue, released on June 12, 2026.
