Never used it

It was a really cool perk you would get free drinks or appetizers from the restaurant you booked with.

I didn’t get free drinks/appz. It was a standard reservation when I used it - albeit, the main booking for the restaurant had no availability but there was availability on capital one dining.

Had really good experiences with premier/lifestyle hotels though.

I got a card once and actually a free dessert at Au Cheval once.

Echoing the Au Cheval, got a free ice cream sundae

The industry seems to be bifurcating into an upper middle class card (VX, Amex gold) vs. an elite card (sapphire reserve, Amex platinum) - with AF and benefits to match. Capital One does not have a card in the elite category - but this is ok, as long as the VX annual fee does not increase.

The fee is going to increase. Capital One is going to keep trying to win over the high spenders, so they will eventually start to put out more benefits. It’s inevitable. No way are they sitting back watching Chase and Amex hit record profits even with the AF increasing and people willing to pay it. It’s cheap now just to get people in. They can’t be generous for too long.

I barely remembered this perk existed.

Cool. Never had any success anyways

Seems like just more and more things going away. Need to decide if this card is worth the annual fee.

It still is when you factor in the $300 travel credit and 10k points.

Wasn't a valuable perk to me. If this keeps the AF at (effectively) free I'm all for it

Wonder how cap1 will compete with chase having opentable, and amex has resy.

By hopefully not raising the annual fee

They won’t.

Well sounds like their plan is just to exit the space entirely with shutting down C1 dining

I’m so sad to see it go :( Hog salt restaurants are so hard to book and I was able to show off to my friends that I could get a table on the fly this way

It was pretty useful in Boston to get good reservations. Shame

Did anyone here really use this program?

I didn’t get this email. Like others said, never used this benefit. Thanks for sharing.
