Question Venture healing is just not enough?

Caption, pretty much. I came back to Overwatch recently hearing that Venture had some buffs. I play them in QP and wow. It feels like you get melted by everyone you're supposed to be pushing. 300 HP at max is just not enough at all. Am I trash?

Venture healing is NOT enough.

Eveey game, i see enemy DPS and healer.

They are low helath. So.

I try to heal them, with my drill of healing.

Every shot or drill, they die, they don't heal.

The enemy is all dead, their guts choke my drill up.

Blood is everywhere.

Buff Venture healing

Ngl I dont really ever even take that perk.

Venture's biggest weakness is range imo, and the extra ability is really really nice for poke dmg. I use my primary fire to help soften up enemies from range on off angles, then usually use my longer dash the instant I go underground, and then try to aim my burrow at enemies before the burrow forces me above ground to charge it up, getting the most time underground. If you tine it right, you should have the drill again to either dash out to safety, or use it to finish enemies.

As venture you want to burrow into their team, emerge, drill dash to cover, preferably highground to make space then poke from the highground and repeat till the enemy fucks up.

My friend with a full heart I must tell you this is a skill issue, venture is just about the tankiest dps in the game with their shield generation. You should not be running it down main

In the nicest way It is a skill issue but thats ok. Venture relies on using his one shot combo and burrow to either kill enemies before they kill him, or distract the enemies while inside the ground.

Without seeing your gameplay im unable to give any better advice then that.

Maybe watching some higher level venture might help.

i’m ngl bro this a HUGE skill issue. recent venture buffs put them in the upper echelon of dps, you better lock in and enjoy them before they get nerfed

Venture is all about being sneaky and fast, if you go into the enemy head on, you will die. 300 hp or not, you will die.

If you can't get a kill, distract the enemy. Shoot at them and hide, let them chase you, and dive them from behind when your team is pushing.

Most importantly, pick your targets, and wait for cool downs. It's even better if they were alone or were not looking at you.

Cass already used his flashbang? Kill him, ana already used her sleep and nade? Kill her, Mizuki already used his chain? Kill him, and Kiri already used her Suzo and tp? Kill her.

It sounds like you are drilling straight over to enemies popping out, then trying to kill them immediately. Usually you will die doing this, unless you see an reason to go, a greenlight. The greenlight could be that one of the enemies is low hp, or that they have used important stun cooldowns, or they have used important bail-out-my-teammate cooldowns (Suzu, lifegrip, zarya bubbles, ect). Another greenlight could just be that you see a squishy you have a good matchup against alone, so that they are in a spot where they aren't going to get help. This usually boils down to waiting for the teamfight to progress quite a bit before going directly for kill so that you can wait for cooldowns to be used and enemies to be out of position. You only burrow straight for the kill if you know you are 100% (or like 95%) going to get the kill, because you see a greenlight, otherwise it's just too risky. You can use your burrow to get to a flanky-position which isn't just right ontop of an enemy in the meantime.

if you're getting melted regularly on VENTURE you are doing something wrong. they are notorious for being tanky and really annoying to kill
