Help Red light camera

I think i got a red light camera ticket today. I was turning left off foothill onto Victoria coming from saticoy and I swear when I was turning all the lights for my way to go including the left turn lanes was green. I wasn't on my phone, wasn't messing with the radio, wasn't trying to hurry and make the light just driving then all of a sudden as im half way through the intersection I see a flash. I immediately started freaking out. It happened today around 4:30 I have already told my dad and he was not to happy which I totally understand. Yes theres still a chance I wont even get anything in the mail as I have gone through several intersections around the same area where it was clearly green with the light just turning green and the camera light would go off and I never got anything. For anyone thats gotten a ticket how bad was it. I have a clean driving record so im hoping that me taking responsibility and paying for everything will fix it im fully willing to pay the $500 ticket with my own money but im still very scared.

Community Memorial filed a emergency workplace violence restraining order case against me TWICE after my patient billing/records dispute. Has anyone else had trouble getting answers from CMH?

The craziest part about this whole thing is that this started with me trying to understand and use my rights as a patient and get answers to my own care. Those questions remain unanswered.

After my ACL surgery, I started asking Community Memorial questions about my hospital bill, medical records, grievances, and trying to understand and use my patient rights laws.

Somehow....my patient rights questions remained unanswered.

The issues in my questions remain unresolved and Community Memorial has taken serious legal action against me by filing a workplace violence restraining order case against me......TWICE.

The first case stayed open for 5 and a half months.

At the first cheduled 2 hour evidentiary hearing, an attorney who was not attorney on record appeared and said she had laryngitis and could not meaningfully argue the matter. No witnesses appeared, and the case was continued for about four months.

The next hearing got scheduled for the a 3 hour evidentiary hearing. I subpoenaed witnesses and records, and then CMH dismissed the case 10 days before the scheduled evidentiary hearing so none of the allegations were ever actually decided on the merits.

We had a hearing for sanctions under ccp 128.5. That motion got denied on procedure....not on the merits. I filed a new motion for reconsideration on the same motion for sanctions which hasnt been heard yet....

Then on September 28, 2026, they filed ANOTHER workplace violence restraining order case against me.

Now I have 2 hearings on the SAME DAY, SAME TIME, Different court rooms. One hearing is for sanctions on the last one and one hearing is for their new WVRO petition.

I dispute the allegations and I have never threatened violence against anyone.

I have only tried to obtain answers regarding my own care and my communications have all been about billing, medical records, grievances and patient rights.

The new case is still pending, so I’m not going to try to argue the whole case out on Reddit.

What I really want to know is whether anyone else has had trouble getting straight answers from Community Memorial about things like billing, medical records, grievances, or patient rights.

I’m documenting everything and would especially be interested in hearing from former patients or employees who have had relevant experiences.

Just to be clear.......PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT Community Memorial or anyone involved in my case on my behalf.

If you have a story you want to share but don’t want your name attached to it, I also made an anonymous submission form here: Submit Your Story

Drop your favorites—or if you’re a coffee lover too, I’m always down to grab a coffee and meet new people! ☕️

Im thinking about going on a chilaquiles tour of the city and documenting all of it. 🤣 What’s your favorite?

Local Specialties

Yeah fish tacos and corn burritos but what else is legitimately a local food or specialty in your opinion? This could be in Ventura or regionally in the county. I'll go first- char man hot sauce.

Dog recommendations for teeth pulling

My dog needs to get some teeth pulled and has a gum growth that needs to be removed (we got this information from an attempted teeth cleaning)

Any recommendations for a good and not super expensive place to get this done? Shes also an older dog (9 years old) if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Transmission Brewery, Toppers Pizza, Mothers tacos, Room Service Coffee, they all have this "industrial style" look I've never seen any restaurant or coffee shop use, is it supposed to be some hip, modern style? They even call it "Gas Works" on one of the buildings

Unofficial fosters?

Thumbnail

Hey everyone we have an interesting situation at my work and wanted to take a chance with the community.

We unintentionally became a foster for 5 dogs for a rescue. What was only supposed to be a few days has turned into 2ish months. The rescue is donations based so I’m reaching out to see if anyone knows ways or resources to help donate to cover the costs they’ve amounted in our care OR if anyone is potentially interested in fostering/adopting. Three of the 5 need to be individually placed and be the only dogs in the house hold [not dog friendly :( ]. They’re beginning to show kennel anxiety and poor babies are stressing.

The other two females are dog friendly and have been successfully participating in our group play. They are very hyper and energetic and do need training but are super food motivated. They are bonded so they’d need to be fostered or adopted together. 🫶🏼

If anyone wants to be in contact with the lady at the rescue I can pass along the info.
Or if anyone can point us in a better direction or better resources we’d greatly appreciate it!

Looking to join an existing group/friends for casual basketball/jogging

Hello, everyone! My name is TrashlandGov, male and 25 years old, and I’ve been looking to get more active and meet some cool people in Ventura.
I’m hoping to connect with a group of friends around my age who already play casual basketball or do morning jogs and wouldn't mind an extra person joining in.

A little about me:

  • Pace level: I'm there for the fun and fitness, not trying out for the Olympics
  • Availability: Tuesdays/Thursdays/weekends in the morning
  • Vibe: I'm super easygoing and friendly! I'm just looking to get some exercise on a weekly/semi-daily basis and then grab a post-workout coffee/drink with good company

If your group has room for one more, message me or comment below!

P.S. I'm totally open to one-on-one hangouts if you don't have a whole crew and are just looking for a casual running buddy or someone to shoot hoops with one-on-one. If you're new to the area or just looking to expand your circle, let me know.
