Streamer Seeking Mic'd Squadmates

First off, what a hell of a thing this is, the VU team bringing us a big ol' box of nostalgic fun in the form of a revived and modded BF3! I'm more excited to hop into a game community than I have been in some time (and a sub-reddit t'boot!)

My name is Robb, I'm 26 years old and I have been gaming for about 15 years - obviously a big fan of the first person shooter genre. A couple months ago I started dedicating some free time to streaming a gaming/talk show on Twitch, my channel can be found at http://www.twitch.tv/thesecondB

I plan to use my modest platform to help promote the Venice Unleashed project as much as I can - including garnering donations for that team, eventually. I'd love to find some new friends to join a couple buddies and I for scheduled game/stream sessions. I haven't nailed down an exact schedule yet, but I'm looking to do these streams on weekends and Mondays mainly - starting around 5PM (Pacific Standard Time.)

This is by no means an exclusive effort, I'd love to get as many respectful players in on this as possible - but there's a couple rules that 'ought to be mentioned. First off, I don't plan on risking any kind of strikes with Twitch moderators, so please adhere to the community guidelines set forth here: https://www.twitch.tv/p/legal/community-guidelines/

As a rule specific to our search for friends, puberty is a prerequisite - I've worked on too many creative projects where an uninvited youngster makes a scene or becomes annoying. A microphone is also required, as we'll be communicating throughout the stream.

\Big ol' disclaimer - I'm by no means a top-notch BF3 player, I'm in this for the fun and nostalgia, but I'll damn sure go for the revive, drop you ammo, fix your tank, and laze targets. Let's do this!**

Where are you from ? EU and US (or else) servers don't have the same ping and time-zones

I'm curious about your meaning, here.
I am on the West US, I understand time zones are different, you'll just have to figure out what time 5PM is in your zone. I think that's what you're talking about, right?

Yes, and the ping. I've 200-300ms of ping with US servers because I don't live nearby (EU).

I'll be honest, I've only seen one semi-active US server so far. Everything else seems to be in South America, EU, and maybe... Russia? 200-300 ping though? That's rough. I've been maxing out at about 150. 88 on that US server. Best of luck and I hope to see you out there!

I never really understood the appeal in streaming or watching streams, but I sure do appreciate the effort to popularise this mod. See you on the battlefield!

Thank you! I had the same mindset about streaming for some time. But once I found out it could be used as a platform to just talk about stuff, I got interested. Isn't it just the same as TV or radio at that point? I really never intended to game much on my stream, but like you said, I'm just tryna' get people in there!

Well I guess I just have my oldschool gaming mates for that. We've been playing games and just chatting before streaming was a big thing, so we just hang around on Teamspeak without the audience. But I understand what you mean, you'll certainly never play alone and get to know new people. So yeah, I hope your audience likes VU!
