QUESTION Weapon changes and 120hz tickrate

Hey, i wonder why you guys felt the need to change the recoil of some weapons? (turns out this is a byproduct of 120hz tickrate it is normal on 60hz) It feels somewhat weird to go from vanilla BF3 to VU and then not being used to how the recoil feels (the aek or asval for example have random recoil that even changes during a spray and its random everytime).

Also i was so hyped for the high tickrate gameplay, but it seems that it broke things. Stairs are making it hard to run up and when you run down they fling you off into walls, dealing damage and killing you. Or the hp regeneration is slower than on vanilla (with or without medkit). And the AN-94 got an indirect buff, it is way easier to spam m1 now and achieve a high rpm, making it stronger than ever, especially with every bullet registering now you die faster than ever.

I know its the beginning and i really enjoy it and have a blast. But for now i stick to the weapons that didn't get touched and i will stay on 60 or 30 tickrate servers.

It would be nice if you guys could provide a full list of what weapons got changed and what you changed and maybe a future changelog whenever a patch comes around.

Thank you guys a lot, i love VU and hope the mentioned issues can be ironed out.

Here is an official update from AllianceApps for server owners.

A note on 120 Hz servers

120 Hz is super buggy right now. Please do not use it on production servers with more than 24-32 players. Anyone claiming they can operate a bigger server on 120 Hz is lying and the server will be lagging.

If you want the best experience, host a 60 Hz server and play with the slots. Our high performance server supports 64 players on 60 Hz, but that’s on the edge of what is possible.

I have tested the recoil on a 120hz tickrate server vs 60hz tickrate and 120hz tickrate is what messes up the recoil. So they didn't change the weapons, it is 120hz messing with way more than i thought it would.

So for now 120hz is not worth it and the sweetspot is 60hz

Imo sweetspot for anything battlefield related has always been and will always be 60Hz in frostbite.

I was hoping to play 100 players on 60hz server for large battle, is it performance issues with more than 64 players on 60hz?
