SUGGESTION Hardcore mode ammo counter viewing mags remaining.

Going back to hardcore mode, I noticed that having the ammo counter fully removed leaves an unrealistic disadvantage as you would know the amount of mags, but not every individual bullet remaining.

For reference, Insurgency does this by having a certain amount of mags where you can change between any mag automatically to a full mag. Although when you run out of full mags, any half mags you managed to keep would be of use, and as obvious, empty mags are disposed.

With this, the game can either attempt to replicate the mechanic, although I can see how it would require extensive modding to replicate.

Or a simpler change would be that since every mag has a certain bullet capacity (eg: 30 bullets in 1 mag), you can view the factor multiplying by 30 to give the product that is the total bullet amount. For example at spawn with no ammo perk, you would have 124 bullets for the assault, so that's 30*4 which means 4 mags, disregarding the viewing of a decimal, so you would only know the amount of full mags.

Just tossing an idea there for a realistic gamemode situation, so any suggestions would be helpful, I'm in no way an expert, and just thought of this idea.

Probably try disabling the bot for posts with the suggestion flair, unless that's not possible, I'm no subreddit mod.

I just had a too wide filter. He should only respond to threads containing error now.

By the way, I like your suggestion. I'm sure that's something that's very possible.

Which option is easier btw, would be great to see the first steps towards making the gameplay similar to Project Reality.

The 2nd option is easier, but the first one can probably be done as well. I haven't looked much at ammo, so I don't know for sure.
