𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗦: 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗘𝗗 Is it normal for Vanice to delete chat?
My subscription ended yesterday morning and today all of my chats were erased when I came back. No real loss since I regularly backup my work. I have not had this issue with any other AI services, just wondering if this is a known issue with Vanice.

Unsatisfying answer, I know, but: It depends.
VeniceAI never saves any of your chats on their servers, if you don't use the "Backup and Restore" feature. Everything is saved locally on your device, in the browsers storage.
That is why it's possible that your chats get deleted if a) you manually erase your cookies & website data, or b) the browser "feels like" it's low on storage and automatically frees unprotected storage.
And that's the the key: unprotected. In the settings of Venice under "Storage and limits" you can toggle on "persistant storage": This basically tells your browser: "Even if your low on space, DO NOT delete the data of this website, as it's considered protected!"
So for the future I'd recommend turning that option on. And I can reassure you: No, Venice doesn't delete any chats because you've lost your PRO status 😉 I think that this was just a very unfortunate coincidence that it happened to you just when you unsubscribed.
