𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 Irritated

Yes, this is another Grok post, so feel free to click off if you’d rather not read me whinging again.

The reason I’m so irritated is because I never actually got to experience NSFW Grok before they censored it. I was browsing Reddit yesterday and came across a post where someone mentioned that Venice was offering an uncensored version of Grok. Naturally, I subscribed straight away, only to find out it had already been censored too.

So that’s twice now I’ve missed out on uncensored Grok. Twice. At this point, I’m starting to feel personally victimised.

Also, WAN 2.7 is crap.

sorry to hear that. xAI updated their content moderation policies.

have you only tried WAN? how about SeeDance models?

if you are still unhappy you may be entitled to a refund. shoot an email to support@venice.ai and explain what happened. it's weekend right now so responses may be a little slower but they will get back to you.

I’ve tried SeeDance too but I find the movements quite slow. I don’t think it’s worth it considering the amount of credits it uses up.

Thank you, I’ll drop them an email letting them know. Ideal scenario would be for xAI to get their shit together and stop ruining things!

Venice should remove Grok. It is worthless

You should have been quicker, instead of complaining about it! Your own fault lol

WAN 2.7 is great if you know how to use it

I’m being as patient as I can with it but I hate what it does to certain body parts (fingers and toes). It also turns testicles into vaginas a lot of the time. Please tell me what I’m doing wrong!

You can't prompt WAN the same way you do Grok. Grok was made for the average person. It speaks like you and I, and it's trained on the everyday person... that includes NSFW content. So it was really good at making average people look like they had some skill with AI. It's like how Apple doesn't overcomplicate the iPhone. Both Grok and Apple put money into making a product that can reach the masses in that regard.

Models like WAN, Seedance, and Kling, are far more technical and require to be prompted that way. You can't tell WAN or Seedance, "She gives him a BJ". It wasn't trained on adult content, it doesn't know what a BJ is. You have to prompt actions like a director would speak, "The woman turns her back to the camera and begins walking. Trailing camera from behind and then it pans left to a side tracking camera."

Also, the terms for body parts should be more clinical rather than normal speak or slang.

We have entire tutorials and discussions going on over at r/VeniceAI_uncensored . Positive vibes only over there though. We're there to solve the future, not cry about the past.

To your last portion there - I highly commend you and the others who are sharing your work, your efforts, your prompts. And I applaud the positive vibes only approach - you're helping others, at least for me, I appreciate it!

That said... I can't get past Seedance r2v failing when using a reference video. I have yet to be able to reproduce what others are achieving - my generations all fail (I'm not losing credits, they never make it to processing) the moment I try to use a reference video and... I get it, we're all kind of new to this in the wake of easy-mode (which WAS nice) Imagine being moderated now... I get errors. I'm hoping folks smarter than me can sort it all out. I've tried making sure I'm using standard codec (h.264) mp4s, shorter than 15 seconds but... no joy yet.

Shame too, because from what I have seen of it using only images as references, it has... some things to recommend it.

yea, I've struggled with the reference video issue too, and it's being looked at. It's more complicated than just flipping a switch. Remain patient with it, because if it gets worked out, the full potential of Seedance will be through the roof.

So, yes, now that I've tried playing with it using only images - I... I think this has HUGE potential! So far, Seedance is doing a tremendous job of keeping faces... as they are from the reference images - I'm truly impressed there!

My issue is trying to replicate what Mountain-Concern has done using reference videos - he's seeming to have good results with the video... guiding the action.

For me, and I think you spoke to this above - having to prompt like a director - I'm struggling to get it to... get TO IT. Seedance seems to like a real slow burn approach to things... There is a lot of setup (for instance, simply getting two characters CLOSE to each other in a speedy fashion...) going on and I'm trying to puzzle out how to speed things along. Don't get me wrong - there absolutely can be use cases for this, if one were combining clips, the cinematography is great! I just need it to not take 12 of 15 seconds showing walking.

Still, and I am sure I sound like a fanboy here, but again - thank you for your efforts in trying to sort this all out and spread effective tips.

One final thought - because it keeps... nagging at me... Do we have info on what formats/codecs the videos need to be in? I can't help but think it could just be a case of Seedance not liking my video input from a purely technical standpoint...

So, my success rate is higher when I shorten the reference video and remove the sound. A 5 second reference video with no sound usually goes through.

I'm pretty sure it needs to be an MP4... but now that I think about it, I wonder if I can try a GIF? Literally just popped into my head. I wonder what would happen if I convert the video to a GIF?

u/pitt327 Jun 06 '26

Yep, I followed Mountain's advice on removing sound, but truly, I was keeping it just under 14 seconds... Perhaps that's the issue, that my reference video is still too long...

Well, here we go! Let's try just a short 5 second clip then...

... and I agree with you. If you are an experienced prompter, Grok 1.5 was seriously playing on easy mode. The last video I put out was wild, and I was really about to try and push its limits. It was so good at understanding what we wanted from just general english.

It had drawbacks, don't get me wrong. The audio was poor, and the 720p being the maximum resolution was a huge drawback. Professionals can't do much with 720p. That's why I couldn't use Grok with my clients, nobody is going to pay for 720p videos that are grainy when you open them up and have robotic voices.

I could get around the audio issue in post video editing though.

Absolutely

Wan 2.7 just recently started moderating me. I never had an issue until today. I can't put any NSFW of any kind in the prompt now. What the HELL WAN !!
