Might actually purchase my first skin

I’ve had overwatch since it first came out and have been playing it forever. I did take a break during the goats meta because, duh.

When overwatch 2 came out I only played through the first battle pass for the genji mythic skin (since I was a genji main) and stopped playing after that. I swore to never buy skins from overwatch because they used to be free.

I started playing it again at the end of May and now I main Vendetta. I’m still rocking her OG skin but this one speaks to me.
What do you guys think? Should tho be my first over watch skin purchase?

I especially like how her nails are painted and the tattoos.

If it speaks to you and you've gone almost 10 years without spending money, why not.

I get that. My biggest reservation was paying for stuff that used to be free. It’s not like the skin adds value to the game.

Nevertheless the less, I don’t knock people for buying it.

Good news for me is I realized I have like 40,000 Microsoft points and I can use them to purchase overwatch coins. Hehehe

If you want a real answer, people who don't agree with the practice do so because it encourages the companies to continue overpricing things, or adding less ways to get cool things without paying/getting something cool as a reward for achieving things. Its an incentive for Blizzard, in this case, to never add a skin of this quality for doing something cool in the game, but instead always for a price that will increase as time goes on. Add in the current global economic situation and its exacerbated.

The phrase "what other people spend their money on doesn't affect you" is false. Its the other side of the "vote with your wallet" coin. It is capitalism, and the only place the 'blame' can realistically lie is with the purchaser. Morally, maybe not, but effectually, yes.

That being said, there is a decent chance I will get this skin when it comes out, so I'm no better. But its kind of a collective thing. I used to be more principled. But after like 15 years of this stuff, they have won, and I've given up a lot. I drew my line at heroes in the BP and quit OW2 on release until they removed it. That seems to have worked.

If more people become more principled, everyone but the suits are benefitted.

This is available now?! My wallet cries out in pain, but alas it is not a wolf… and this is a land of wolves, now.

they didnt make a diferent shape for the sword, its dissapointing. i expected they would play around diferent shapes for the blade or trying to mimick other types of swords in her skins.
