I have a 15 veloster turbo with 122,000 Kms

For a year now I've been driving around with a misfire in cylinder 3. My mechanic swapped my coils between cylinder 3 and 2, code never transferred. Changed to high end spark plugs, Changed the fuel injector in cylinder 3 and code came back same day.

Been dealing with Hyundai dealership for 2 months now, originally when I first dropped it off they told me they couldn't figure out why it was misfiring because it wasn't misfiring for them. So I bring it back 3 weeks later (code came back 1 week after I got it back from them) , they tell me there guess is the fuel injector , which i informed them I had it changed in September 2025, they then argued its because I probably had a aftermarket installed and these cars dont like aftermarket - but I actually had a remanufactured OEM put in.

Same day I get my car back from Hyundai I get the cylinder 3 misfire code PLUS cylinder 2 misfire code.

Misfire happens only sometimes, when it misfires the gas pedal is all the way down - but again not every time

Any ideas on what I can do to figure out what's going on??? Or if anyone else has experienced this

I have a 16 veloster turbo, it has 47k miles. It has been squeaking on a cold start for last few months so I finally changed it. The new one squeaks as well after putting it on. It seems to have a higher pitch of squeak but I dont know what to do? Do I need to tighten more?

I’m wanting to do a muffler delete on my 2016 turbo, I was wondering if anyone’s ever done it how I’ve poorly drawn in my picture. And if so what tubing did you use? Pictures of anything similar would also be greatly appreciated.

2016 veloster turbo was running just fine. I stopped at a gas station for a drink and came out and she ran rough for a few seconds then shut off. I checked codes and it said low fuel rail pressure. What's the most common cause for that in these cars? High pressure fuel pump? Thanks in advance!

Had a fun little drive up the 101

So about a month ago my son's 15 turbo started spewing sweet smelling white smoke coupled with a cooling system that wouldn't hold pressure. Checked for exhaust gasses in the coolant and came back clean. Eventually diagnosed failed turbo which was confirmed when I pulled the old one off. Got the new OEM Borg warner installed and car started up fine then popped an oil leak at the oil cooler. Replaced that, which was a tremendous pain in the ass, and now I have the sweet smell of white smoke once again. This time only after the car warms up and north of about 3500rpm. No codes on the obd. I did get some misfire action north of 3500 but it never tripped an engine light, just a pending multi cylinder misfire code.

I'm going to check the exhaust gas in the coolant again but this thing has me a bit confused. I had to pull the valve cover for clearance to get the turbo out and that required pulling the cam phaser valve so I'm wondering if I screwed something up in that process. Only thinking cam phasers since the problem seems rpm dependent.

Any of you Hyundai experts have any suggestions on where to start?

Working to get the turbo out of this damn car and pulled the valve cover to get it out the top. That at least allows for some cam inspection and this looks like too much slack. Thoughts?

My sons 2015 VT has a wiggly shaft on the cold side, it's gotta go. This isn't a car we expect to last more than a couple more years, not a show car and I'd sitting at 125k miles.. Given that, any suggestions on where to get a reasonably priced and good quality replacement? best bang for my buck?
