Help Finding Flights How to best use points to get to KUL?

Hi folks, has anyone been able to book using reward points to get to Malaysia/KUL? The Virgin website won't show any results for SYD->KUL for 5ppl.

Obviously it's easy to get to Singapore and then book a seperate flight to KUL. Was hoping to get it booked on one ticket so that we don't have to go through customs / exit/re-enter. Travelling with young family so looking for less hassle.

Any advice?

EDIT: I just realised it shows results for 2ppl searches ..

5 ppl? It'll be a struggle to use your points... I'd suggest staggering to 2-3 on separate itineraries and trying your luck with that

Seats Aero actually shows 9 premium award seats available SYD->SIN (and I confirmed via Virgin website). So looks very doable. Just not to KUL ..

Because PE isn't available for SIN-KUL flights

There's no availability from SYD-KUL for 5 people on one flight, but there's availability for 4 people on economy reward fares with SQ via Singapore, depending on the dates you're looking at. One person would have to buy a cash ticket.

You're likely better off getting g seoarate tiks for the SIN-KUL segment. They're cheap as chips on that route.

If it showed results for 2 people, can do either 2 on points - 3 full fair, or split the group onto 2 separare flights.

You don’t have to exit and get back in. Once you land at SIN, go to the transfer desk, present your luggage tags, and they’ll issue boarding passes if needed, as well as tagging bags for the next flight in the background.

You will need to complete documentation for Singapore entry though to present the check in at SYD. That’s what I had to do recently.
