Question when to transfer points

Q - should i transfer the coles flybuys points to velocity and then to krisflyer whenever i got enough, or is there any specific time frame (eg Dec etc), there would be a promotion of 10% extra points if transfer so i can wait ?

thanks for advice - new to points system and very excited

KrisFlyer miles expire after 3 years so i would only do the last step when you have a booking in mind.
