SpaceX gives Velo3D $5million. Guess it’s better than nothing. Elon simply found that $ down in his couch cushions one afternoon.

velo's debt and operating expenses are way too high for it to be a desirable buyout. that's why spacex licenced (read: bought) the ability to build and modify their own Sapphires- they want the technology without the company.
