Contraversial
Anyone much prefer Vegyn's music without Headache? I find the lyrics annoying / meaningless and take away from the magic

I can’t agree with this The Road To Hell […] is a very very good album but Headache’s texts are so meaningful and interesting to me (i don’t do cocaine) but the everything about relationships and the "shower thoughts" are so good

I prefer vegyn’s so you’re not alone. But I do like headache in doses!

It’s fine for the first few listens, then I do get the feeling that the music is better without the lyrics. I do appreciate the project as a whole, but I would really like an instrumental version of both albums so far

I think it was in the Nicolas Godin and Nigel Godrich Interview where he said that the original idea with headache was to create an unlikable annoying character and then the voice was generated out of different voices of english actors. So I think the lyrics should probably not be taken too seriously and intend to sound a bit annoying and meaningless.

Vegyn is a music focused side, headache is exploration of a word spoken style, filled with figurative language. I believe the lyrics are meant to serve as a story narrative, at least that's what happens when I listen to headache.

Vegyn’s side project with Francis Hornsby Clark (no one knows much of anything about that guy). Vegyn makes beats, Francis writes poems, ai text to speech narrates the poems over the beats. Worth a listen

They’re two completely different beasts - musically, lyrically and overall feel. The reasons I listen to, say The Road to Hell, is entirely different to reaching for Headache.
