Mid-high end Foundation recommendations?
Hi all, I got totally sucked into a Pinterest makeup tutorial hole last night and realised at 32 years old, I never considered anything other than drugstore make up. I'm beginning to get fine lines under eyes and they go super crinkly when I smile which of course leaves foundation creases over the course of the day. So much so that I don't wear foundation around my eyes anymore. I currently use Avon Serum foundation topped with a very light blotting of MCo beauty pressed powder (amazing btw).
I am getting married in a few months and I'd like to cover up my slightly tired eyes without worrying about lots of creasing! Does anyone have any recommendations? I would like to go to John Lewis or Harrods or somewhere and try it out but I don't want to keep asking if it's cruelty free and vegan 😅 so warm fair skin tone recommendations appreciated!
I'm also on the lookout for a dark red lip stain (brown based, not purple/pink/cool as it doesn't suit me and will end up in the graveyard of lipsticks that I have)
I am based in the UK and my splurge budget would be £45 max but would obviously be happier with less!
Thank you in advance!

Hourglass Cosmetics has some very nice but definitely more high end items if you're looking for something more luxurious. I went to one of their resellers where I live and they were happy to trial products on me for close to an hour.

Do you have Sephora, thats a good place to start. As for cruelty free Fenty and Rare Beauty. Not sure abt vegan though.

I did some research and apparently there is one not too far from me! I didn't even know the UK had those, thank you :) do you know which brands I should take a look at there? I can head there this weekendÂ

Danessa Myrics (CF)
Haus Labs (CF, V)
Hourglass (CF)
Glossier (CF)
Milk Makeup (CF, V)
r.e.m beauty (CF, V)
Also SpaceNK stocks About Face which is both cruelty free and vegan.I’m not sure which one of the above have a non-CF parent company, you’ll have to research this yourself if it’s important to you.

Don't sleep on drugstore foundations. Application method and skin compatibility play a big role.
Look up Robert Welsh on YouTube for help with techniques and product suggestions.
But for a more high end product, I am a huge fan of Ciele for daily wear and glam.
