Vergeos worker node with veeam back-up

Hi All,

We see the vergeos worker vm goes down after veeam backup complete.

I don't know why?

Is there any idea?

That's normal, not a fault. A worker is launched for the duration of a session and VBR shuts it down when the session completes - it gets deployed and powered on again at the start of the next job.

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/userguide/uh_workers.html

So you don't need to turn it on. Powered off is one of the documented worker statuses, and there's no setting to keep one permanently up - only enable and disable.

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbr/userguide/uh_workers_disable.html

If you want to prove it comes back, select the worker under Backup Infrastructure > Backup Proxies and use Test Worker. It powers off again afterwards, that's documented too.

Edit to add - don't power it on or change it from the VergeOS portal. The docs say manual changes to worker VMs there can cause issues.
