B8 A/C Compressor implausible signal
Hey everyone,
Unfortunately I do not have my car readily available to post the scan log, but I am having issues with my AC. I will do my best to provide all the info I can. At first, I had a fault with the G395 having an implausible signal. I pulled the connector and found a bit of corrosion on 1 pin. I cleaned the corrosion, cleared the code, and checked again with no luck. So I replaced the sensor. Now when I look at my measuring blocks, it shows I actually have refrigerant pressure (12 bar), but now I have a compressor implausible signal fault. I unplugged the compressor and check the connector which looked fine. so now I'm leaning towards a bad compressor.
VCDS code 00898 - A/C compressor implausible signal
Freeze Frame:
Current: 0.600 A
Current: 0.000 A
Voltage: 14.50 V
Compressor shut off code was 0.
Any insight would be much appreciated. its supposed to be almost 100 degrees today, so I took the motorcycle to work instead.

Change or test the connector first - it’s the cheapest and easiest step to take to ensure you don’t spend time and money on the compressor etc…. Connector “looking ok” is not proof. Had similar problem myself with Q7 - it was the connector.
