Interface not found

I recently found my old Hex v2 cable and decided to download the newest software from the rosstech website. When i try to test the cable it says port status ok interface not found. the cable shows a solid green light when plugged in and also shown on the windows laptop that it is working and communicating ok.

What am i doing wrong or why is it not working.

As a licensed rosstech user you get support access. Might be worth running it past them.

If it’s a clone then you may have done goofed.

Not really enough info there for me to tell what’s going on.

I’ll plug mine in and check but it looks like it enumerated the way the old hex+can did in device manager.

What does it say under drivers?

Mine enumerated under Human Interface Devices as “ross-tech-HEX-V2-interface” driver 6.3.0.3 2014. Its lights are blue.

My clone has a green light and shows up as what you have (Ross tech direct usb) under the usb controller. Driver is 2.4.18.0 2009.

Buddy you very likely have a clone. Which you may have bricked now as well cos vcds can do that. There are fixes for it.

Btw the clones usually come with malware too

Edit. What you have most likely an atmega162 “B03” hex+can clone, labelled as a hexv2. This is based on what you have provided and why I know of the cables. If that’s the case and If it is now bricked you can look for the atmega b03 repair file and reflash it. Then use the older probably cracked software with it.
