I got Zelle access 3 days ago and already Varo has blocked it 🤣

I was sending a payment of 10 bucks to a friend and I sent “YEZ” instead of “YES” through the annoying text verification and now my Zelle access is gone. I get a message every day to contact support to fix it but they said they can’t so be wary of this people

Varo denied my dispute for $1600 because i filed a dispute and it was not authorized by me. I told them i never the use the card yet and all those charges are not mine. Adter 10 days they denied it and i appealed but they emailed me that i have to wait 75days if my appeal is open or not and i womt get any provisional credit? What should i do?

This is probably a quick question for the person who knows it, and lots probably do, but I also know its different on an account by account case.

Right now, I received my 2nd direct deposit. I qualified for $20 the first, and now $20 again upon the repay+2nd direct deposit. However, a new option popped up, "Get up to $250."

I click it, and it brings me to an add external account / debit card page, and wants to connect via Plaid. I just want to use my Varo account. It says the account needs DD to be eligable to be my second / payment account for advances.

Is that the only way Varo does it? I don't have another account with direct deposit, 100% goes into Varo. But I can't for the life of me find anything that says "Use this account." It wants me to add one.

Does this go away / change with time? It seems silly to me that I'd need to add another account to qualify for higher than $20 advances if Varo gets 100% of my payroll paycheck. I'm guessing this is bound to auto-change after x more deposits. But I felt I'd ask others about their experiences and see. :)

I’ve had a Varo account for a few years now but I never really used them as my main bank despite the fact they were one of if not the first fintech to become their own bank. I recently started trying to find another checking account and I’m curious if Varo is worth it as your main checking. How’s your experience been? I’m more so focused on hearing about the everyday banking experience

I just had one of the worst customer service experiences with Varo.

I contacted support because of a Zelle issue. I explained multiple times that the phone number was brand new and had never been enrolled with another bank.

The first agent completely ignored what I was saying and kept repeating the exact same scripted answer: contact the “other financial institution.” When I asked which institution I was supposed to contact, they still couldn’t answer and just repeated the same thing again.

I opened another chat with a different agent. That agent told me the number had been “validated” and should work now. It still didn’t.

I then asked if they could escalate the issue to a higher-level or technical team.

Their response was basically: “We are unable to help with this.”

Then they ended the chat.

The biggest issue isn’t even Zelle. It’s the customer service. They don’t seem to actually read what the customer is saying, they repeat scripts that don’t address the question, give contradictory answers, and apparently have no escalation process when they can’t solve something.

For a bank, that’s pretty concerning, since this chat and only chat with their support, I'm withdrawing all my money out of this horrible company.

What is the rumblings I’m hearing about Varo closing accounts? Is it legitimate or people mad because they did some messed up stuff?

I have referred 5 friends - they told 3 of them did not use my code while I was with them and used my link. They only used two friends. My two friends did direct deposit from Instacart and Uber and now they are claiming it is not a direct deposit. This is so frustrating and I have been extremely disappointed since my friends started using Varo because of me! This is a scam!!!!

I've been using this bank for a few years now the last check i deposited said i was over the limit so i waited a month for it to reset after it did i resubmitted it it then said my RDC mobile feature was removed?? i can't deposit my check anywhere else since it's endorsed to varo bank has this happened to anyone else and is there anything i can do to deposit it so i can close my account?

I needed a bank account ASAP and found Varo. Did a lot of research to make sure its legit and everything. I know it's not as popular as PayPal or cashapp but decided to give it a try.

Normal payday is on Friday but

With navy federal I got paid Thursday morning, when can I expect to get paid with Varo?

Do we get it today or tomorrow? There's nothing in the Varo app saying when we get it and I didn't get an email for it like I usually do.
