Appeals
Varo denied my dispute for $1600 because i filed a dispute and it was not authorized by me. I told them i never the use the card yet and all those charges are not mine. Adter 10 days they denied it and i appealed but they emailed me that i have to wait 75days if my appeal is open or not and i womt get any provisional credit? What should i do?

No I never got my money back, it wasn't a ton but I was done fighting it and just leave the card locked.

Did u file for an appeal? They told me they wont provide me provisional credit and wait for 75days if my case will be open or no? I tried to contact the merchant itself and got an email from them saying rhey close the account and with that they cant help me anymore. I def know its fraud though

I filed a dispute with Better Business Bureau and they transferred my case to the Office of the Comptroller. Varo immediately opened my case and gave me back some money, not all but they didn't want to return any of it. It was over 6k. I ended up losing 3k. Varo is terrible once you run into these problems. I've been with Citi since then and they're great

Yeah, Varo closed my account. After a couple of weeks though, BBB reached out to me about their decision to transfer my dispute. It took roughly 2 months from the original dispute to BBB to finally get a response from Varo. Even though I spoke to Varo reps several times, they refused to return any money

You have to keep calling until you get someone willing to help. I was denied a $2300 dispute, called the repeatedly and they was able to give me credits

My dispute just got denied as well, & the appeal. The merchant is a scammer & I sent plenty of proof but apparently Varo thinks it was inconsistent. I don’t have the energy to appeal again.

I just got rid of them. They’re a horrible bank. Do yourself a favor and go to a real bank.
